SHOWCASE! SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1-5PM ALL AGES/FAMILIES | WINNETKA LIBRARY Join us to celebrate the one year anniversary of The Studio on Sunday, October 25, from 1 to 5pm. We’re planning some fabulous make-and-take projects for all ages, amazing prize drawings, tours and demonstrations of the equipment, and of course, refreshments! We’re collecting photographs of projects made in The Studio to be used in Library promotions and a digital display at the party. We’d love to include your projects in this showcase! Send your photos of Studiomade projects to pr@winnetkalibrary.org.

In the one year since The Studio opened, we have welcomed over 5,000 visitors to the space and held more than 125 Studio classes. The Studio is a great example of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) philosophy in action. Over 3,400 artistic and practical projects have been made using a combination of creative, critical thinking and technical skills. The Studio features the latest technology and equipment, such as 3D printers, a laser cutter, custom embroidery machine,

Silhouette Cameo machine, photo printer and scanner, large format printer, and four sewing machines. Traditional art classes such as drawing, watercolors and pastels are also offered. The Studio was made possible by a generous gift to the Library from the Staffileno family, in order that the library create a space to honor the memory of Constance E. Staffileno. The Studio commemerates Mrs. Staffileno’s love for art and art education, and to inspire generations of innovators and art enthusiasts.
