Lydia Anderson, Senior, Franklin, Wisconsin | Franklin High Schoo
Lydia is from Franklin, Wisconsin. She is a Nursing Major, finishing up her 4th and final term. Lydia competed in beam at every meet during her freshman and sophomore years. he earned the WSU Presidential Scholar-Athlete Award all four years and has received WIAC and WCGA academic honors. During Lydia’s final year at WSU, she transitioned into her new role as a Student Assistant Coach. After graduation, Lydia will move closer to home and work as a registered nurse in Milwaukee, WI. We can’t thank Lydia enough for your dedication to improving WSU gymnastics, both as an athlete and as a coach.
Izzy Kropiwiec, Senior, Wauconda, Illinios | Carmel Catholic High School
Izzy is from Wauconda, Illinois. She majored in Movement Science with a minor in Psychology. During Izzy’s sophomore year, she qualified individually to the National Championships at Ithaca College on the floor exercise. She placed 5th at Nationals with a 9.725. Izzy has been a consistent member of the Winona State vault and floor lineup. Izzy’s career highs include 9.55 on the vault and 9.75 on the floor. She has been awarded WSU Presidential Scholar Athlete all four years and has notched a 3.70 cumulative GPA. Izzy has made a huge impact on the Winona community through her involvement with our recreational gymnastics program. Next year, Izzy will be attending graduate school to receive her doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, but has not decided on which program. Izzy has been a fierce competitor for the Warriors and has continued to inspire young athletes and her teammates to keep striving for more.
Taryn Sellner, Senior, Mankato, Minnesota | Mankato West
Taryn is a Mankato, Minnesota native. She majored in Movement Science with a minor in Psychology. Taryn’s major accomplishments include placing 4th on the beam at WIAC championships in 2023. She went on to qualify for Nationals on the beam and floor last year, which was hosted here at Winona State University. She was chosen as the Most Consistent athlete, voted by her team. Her career highs include 9.75 on beam and 9.775 on floor. Academically, Taryn has been a WSU Presidential Scholar-Athlete every semester and has maintained an impressive 3.89 GPA. She will be attending Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI next year to earn her master’s in occupational therapy. We will remember Taryn most for her positive attitude, consistency, and willingness to go above and beyond in everything that she does.

Ashley Roth, Senior, Omaha, Nebraska | Omaha Bryan High
Ashley Roth is a two-year captain from Omaha, Nebraska. She majored in Movement Science with a minor in Psychology. She has competed in every meet the last four years. She was awarded the WIAC all-sportsmanship award in 2022. Ashley earned the WSU Presidential Scholar-Athlete award every semester and was accepted into all four graduate schools that she applied to. Besides her time in the gym and classroom, Ashley worked long shifts and overnights at Home and Community Options in Winona caring for five women with disabilities, all while maintaining a 3.64 GPA. Next year, Ashley will be attending University of Minnesota-Rochester to receive her doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Ashley is truly at the peak of her career, and we are so thankful for every ounce of energy that she has given to our program.
Kennedy O’Connor, Senior, Roselle, Illinois | James B. Conant
Kennedy is a two-year captain from Roselle, Illinois. She majored in Psychology with a double minor in Nutrition and Coaching. She is a transfer student-athlete who has earned All-Conference honors twice on the vault. She became an NCGA National Champion on the Vault in 2022 after scoring a 9.80 at Ithaca College. She currently holds the Winona State University individual vault record and led her vault squad to a #1 WSU all-time vault team record score of 47.875 at WIAC Championships in 2023. She has earned WSU, WIAC, and WCGA academic honors over the last three years. Kennedy will graduate in May, but return to Winona State University next year to receive her Mental Health in Schools and Organizations Certification, while also competing for the Warriors for one more year. We are so thankful that her path brought her to Winona State University and we can’t wait to watch her comeback season.

WINONA STATE COACHING STAFF
Stephanie Geislinger
Stephanie Geislinger was named the women's gymnastics head coach at Winona State University in August, 2021.
In 2022-23, Geislinger lead the Winona State program and served as one of the most important figures in the 2023 NCGA National Championships held at Winona State. Highlights from the season included multiple meets against NCAA Division I foes, including the season kickoff event, the Best of Minnesota, hosted by U-M. WSU turned in a fifth-place finish overall as a team at the WIAC Championships/NCGA West Regional Championships before hosting the 2023 NCGA National Championships in Winona.
At Nationals, Breanna Ho led the way of the Warrior contingent, scoring 37.150 points in the all-around, good for seventh place and All-American honors. Taryn Sellner scored a 9.425 in the balance beam event, while Kaylee Bateman earned a 8.150 on the uneven parallel bars. Kennedy O'Connor collected a 9.650 mark in the vault for WSU.
The 2021-22 season saw the Geislinger-era open with a home win, as Winona State defeated Hamline University in a WIAC-dual meet held in McCown Gymnasium. WSU would go on to finish sixth overall at the 2022 NCGA West Regional. Kennedy O'Connor would go on to earn a NCGA Individual National Championship in the vault, tying for first place with a score of 9.800. Kaitlyn West, Bryce Stoltz and Izzy Kropiwiec also qualified for the NCGA National Championships, with West earning a fourth-place finish in the all-around and Stoltz taking seventh in the same event. Kropiwiec earned eighth place overall in the floor exercise.
Prior to her appointment as head coach at Winona State, Geislinger served as an assistant coach during the 2020-21 season for the Warriors.
As a student-athlete, Stephanie (Wojton) Geislinger excelled academically and athletically at Winona State, competing for the Warriors between 2009-2013. In that time, Geislinger earned National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) 1st Team All-America on the Floor Exercise in 2013 and was named the Winona State Female Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior. The Long Grove, Ill. native was a captain for the Warrior team in her junior and senior seasons. At the high school level, Geislinger was a member of the 2009 Illinois State High School Team Champions, leading Stevenson High School to that title.
Academically, Geislinger majored in Movement Science and minored in Nutrition at Winona State, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA . She went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University: Feinberg School of Medicine in 2016. In addition to coaching at Winona State, she serves as an Outpatient/Sports Medicine Physical Therapist at Winona Health, working as an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist.
Stephanie and Andrew Geislinger, a former Warrior baseball standout, live in Winona with their daughter Avery Brooke.
WINONA STATE COACHING STAFF
Elizabeth Kronebusch joined the Winona State gymnastics program as an assistant coach under head coach Stephanie Geislinger in 2021 and enters her third season with the Warriors for the 2023-24 campaign.
Kronebusch assists Geislinger with all facets of program management, including recruiting, training programs and meet management. Kronebusch is an instructor in the Winona State nursing program and recently completed her doctoral degree in nursing.
Abby Keeling joined the Winona State gymnastics program as an assistant coach under head coach Stephanie Stephanie Geislinger in 2023, but Keeling had a five year stint coaching WSU gymnastics in 2009-2014.
Keeling has a bachelors degree in Technical Communnications and Studio Art and a Masters of Instruction 5-12 Literature & Communication Arts.
Hailey Bryant joined the Winona State gymnastics program as an assistant coach under head coach Stephanie Geislinger in the Fall of 2023.
Bryant graduated from WSU with a bachelors in Special Education while competing in gymnastics from 2018-2022
Anderson joins the Warriors coaching staff as a student coach after competing on beam for the last three seasons. Anderson earned WIAC All-Academic Honors for the 2020-21 school year.
