Our licensed Dietitians/Nutritionists, Social

By structuring our program to include both group and individual sessions, we promote healthy habits at an early age to last a lifetime.

The Program
Modification, Physical Fitness
1. Nutrition Component – promotes a non-diet approach with an emphasis on healthy food choices and portion control. Specific topics include: fuel up on breakfast,
low fat/nutrient dense foods, learning to like fruits and
veggies, portion control, label reading, balancing meals, healthy snacks vs. treats, healthy fast food eating, back in the kitchen and more.
2. Behavior Modification Component – the program
includes many topics regarding behavior modification to help participants replace negative, unhealthy behaviors with positive, healthy ones. The program’s goal is to
change habits gradually for long-term success, while
improving overall self-esteem. Participants will become
aware of overeating triggers and learn strategies to cope with such triggers. Specific topics include: learning to self-regulate meals, avoid being over restrictive, selfimage, stress eating, self deception, intolerance to hunger and more.
3. Physical Fitness Component – along with improving eating behaviors, the program’s goal is to increase
participants’ physical activity and improve their fitness ability. Furthermore, getting the kids to like moving more anyway they choose to move. Exercise does
promote weight loss but more importantly it provides the groundwork for long term health.

individual attention gives your child the solid
support system necessary to change his/her
old ways of behaving in favor of newer healthier behaviors. Groups are kept small to allow
individual attention while integrating a group dynamic. They are a safe and fun place for
children to share ideas and feelings, allowing kids to help other kids feel good about themselves. Being part of a group gives a child a sense
of belonging, the experience to interact with
peers, and develop necessary relationship skills. Belonging to a group oftentimes makes your
child realize that he/she is not alone and that
there are other children with the same problems and concerns.
