Welcome from Lucinda C. Ballard & Michael R. Lynch The Winter Show Committee Co-Chair
THE WINTER SHOW COMMITTEE CO-CHAIRS
Lucinda C. Ballard Michael R. Lynch
It is now the sixty-seventh year of The Winter Show— the country’s longest-running art, antiques, and design fair. We continue to set the standard in an increasingly competitive field. The Winter Show is East Side House Settlement’s principal fundraising effort and is the only major fair in New York where all proceeds go directly to a charity. Established in 1891, East Side House is a non-profit, community-based organization providing quality education training and assistance services to individuals in the Bronx and northern Manhattan. Your contributions directly impact our most vulnerable communities, helping 10,000 people break the cycle of poverty annually, and we are so grateful for your support!
This year, we are pleased to announce our exemplary Design Co-Chairs, Frank de Biasi, Wendy Goodman, and Thomas Jayne. We extend our gratitude for their unwavering efforts to promote and build awareness of The Winter Show and its beneficiary East Side House.
Last year saw many exciting changes to the Show, and we continue to keep our sights focused on the future. We have been responsive to changing demographics and tastes in the art market while maintaining our unyielding focus on quality. This year as we pivot to the digital sphere, we remain committed to our quality programming standards and expertise for the exhibition. We are excited to introduce an eclectic mix of exhibitors from across disciplines and price points, with some of the world’s foremost experts in the fine and decorative arts present.
Producing the Winter Show in 2021 presented numerous challenges to everyone; however, through challenges, we seek new opportunities for growth. It is our pleasure to announce our collaboration with select pioneers in the design realm, including 1stDibs and NYC&G, and with The Magazine Antiques.
On behalf of the board, staff, and clients of East Side House and The Winter Show family, we extend our profound gratitude to Chubb, for their ongoing generosity and loyalty and to our media partners The Magazine Antiques, Apollo, NYC&G, and technology partners, Group M Design, Trasaterra, and Ikonospace.
The success of The Winter Show would not be possible without the commitment, talent, and teamwork of The Winter Show Committee members, the Dealers Committee and the Online Dealers Committee. They have worked hard throughout the year to bring the Show to life. We would also like to thank Daniel Diaz, Executive Director of East Side House Settlement, Helen Allen, Executive Director of The Winter Show, and Veronica Wu, Project Manager of the Show, for their enthusiastic and unfailing vision and support.
We want to dedicate the outcome of our efforts to all the exceptional individuals who devote their working hours to East Side House Settlement.
