Nairn Book & Arts Festival is retaining the late summer slot from September 4th to September 9th The six day festival will be launched with a special day dedicated to children to include writers, workshops and opera. The next five days will be filled with a rich programme of events and exhibitions designed to entertain and delight both visitors and locals. The festival now in its 9th year, boasts a reputation for attracting top quality authors and will build on this by including an international element which will include crime writers from Scandinavia. New for 2012 will be a range of exciting musical events of various genres to entertain and complement drama and comedy in the evenings. The visual arts element of the festival will receive a major boost this year as The Curtis Cup comes to Nairn Golf Club in June when we will provide an art exhibition for the event, which will include work by the Lucy Tormey, LGU Event Artist. Check the programme or website for details of high profile authors, artists, entertainers, comics and musicians; 2012 promises to be a vibrant, eclectic, exciting mix.
