NEW 825 KVA DIESEL GENSET SUPPLIED TO A KEY WINE PRODUCER IN SPAIN
Dagartech has supplied a new 825 kVA diesel generator to Pago de Carraovejas, a winery, founded in 1988 in Valladolid, the de facto capital of the autonomous community of Castile and León, in Spain.
Specialising in the development of tailor-made energy solutions, Dagartech is one of Spain’s most successful genset companies, exporting more than 70% of its generators abroad.
With headquarters based in La Muela, Zaragoza, Dagartech reports that its sales have grown this year by more than 16% compared to 2021. In 2020, Dagartech was recognized as one of the 1,000 fastest growing companies in Europe, within the prestigious FT1000 ranking of the Financial Times newspaper.
A company spokesman commented on this latest Pago de Carraovejas contract: “To guarantee an energy supply in case of grid failure, we have designed and manufactured an 825kVA generator set to provide an uninterrupted and automatic power supply in the event of grid failure or interruptions in the network.
“In addition, the genset offers complete event monitoring and comprehensive visualisation of engine information to facilitate maintenance and repair of the equipment.”
Dagartech maintains high-tech manufacturing facilities located near Zaragoza, Spain. These facilities have been equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for the design, production and testing of gensets as part of the company´s commitment to the quality of its processes and products.
The company has reputation for providing installations which can guarantee the electrical energy supply required, and designs robust and reliable gensets which guarantee an uninterrupted energy delivery of energy. Dagartech’s gensets offer an optimal level of fuel consumption, good designing and an efficient installation.
When the company’s technical team builds its generator sets they are customised to ensure that issues like noise levels and adaptations to local environmental regulations are respected.
Dagartech’s technical expertise reduces and optimises any maintenance and replacement tasks involving the gensets, as much as possible.
The Pago de Carraovejas, a Valladolid winery, has production facilities which occupy more than 26,000 m2 of a vanguard-built space around beautiful plazas. These flank the ‘incomparable views’ on the vineyard from the southeast to the Botijas valley and the Peñafiel
Castle. The facilities at the vinyard are constantly being renewed in order to improve product quality in the superior grade wines.
The site has been designed and built to always respect both the gravity vinification process and the grapes’ natural characteristics.
The winery operators are currently building a new waste management point outside the winery and plan to construct new agricultural warehouses next to the vineyard, as well as new spaces for the public to learn more about the wine making process.
About the genset
The DGCS 825 ST three-phase soundproofed water-cooled diesel generator set from Dagartech’s High Power range, comes with an automatic, manual, by signal or test operating mode.
It includes a high-resistance galvanised steel bench and canopy, and is specially-designed for continuous high-power demands in various areas, such as industry, infrastructures, mining and data processing centres.
It offers: 400/230 V, frequency 50 Hz, soundproofed and weighing 7,000kg 1500rpm with a 1,300-litre fuel tank. The generator set features a CUMMINS VTA28-G6 engine and a STAMFORD HCI634G alternator. dagartech.com
The VTA28-Series is recognised globally for its performance under even the most severe climatic conditions, and is widely acknowledged as the most robust and cost-effective diesel engine in its power range.
Key design features include two large capacity aftercoolers for more efficient combustion, dual camshafts for precise control valve and injector timing and a cooling system boasting a more even flow of coolant around the cylinder liners, valves and injectors.
There is a Cummins PT selfadjusting fuel system for overspeed protection independent of the main governor. The VTA28-G5 engine specifications are unique for either 1500rpm (50Hz) or 1800rpm (60Hz) operation.
The Stamford HCI634G1 is the smallest alternator from the HC6 series. The excitation used on this alternator is a PMG. Alternators with similar ratings to the HCI634G1 include the STAMFORD HCI634H1 or the S6L1D-C41.
