ABOUT THE HAUS We caught up with KATE THOMSON from Haus to talk about all things house and home...

TELL US ABOUT HAUS... Haus is really the result of the convergence of my love of interiors and travel - I came back from Morocco having bought a classic pouffe and so many friends wanted one - the process of how they are made is fascinating, each takes two full days to make. There are so many artisanal makers practising these centuries-old crafts and I wanted to give them a platform. We all want to fill our homes with beautiful, tactile objects that have some integrity and meaning. We now work with makers all over the world, and with women's co-operatives where possible. We’ve grown from stocking a handful of pieces to a whole range of fabulous furnishings and accessories – including beautiful handmade jewellery. It's free UK P&P over £15 and if you live in Bath or Trowbridge, you may just get your order handdelivered by me!
