8 BATH PLAYERS CALLED UP BY ENGLAND Eight Bath Rugby players have been called up to the England training squad ahead of England’s Autumn Nations Cup, which starts this month.

ddie Jones has called eight of Bath Rugby’s squad into his training camp ahead of the upcoming Autumn Nations Cup taking place in November.

Bath Rugby’s Tom Dunn, Beno Obano, Will Stuart, Club captain Charlie Ewels, Sam Underhill, Anthony Watson, Jonathan Joseph and Tom de Glanville have all been all selected. Product of Bath Rugby’s Academy, de Glanville will take part in the senior international set-up for the first time following an impressive first season in the senior squad for the Blue, Black and White. On Tom de Glanville’s call up, Director of Rugby Stuart Hooper paid tribute to the young full-back and praised his attitude and quality during the 2019/20 campaign, having come through the player pathway at the Club. He said: “I’m so excited for Tom to get the opportunity at this level. He has played a huge part in our season and shown great balance in his game from full back. “He’s a quality young player who loves playing for the Club and I’m sure that will transfer to England should he be given the opportunity. On the selection of the rest of the Bath Rugby contingent in Eddie Jones’ camp, Hooper praised his players and wished them well as they continue to develop at the highest level. Hooper continued: “Tom Dunn, Beno, Anthony, Sam, Charlie, Will and JJ have been instrumental in our growth this 60 THEWESTWILTSMAGAZINE
season. They are incredibly deserving of their place in this England training camp. They have added a wealth of experience to Bath Rugby, especially since restart and have worked rigorously in helping the side achieve a place in the play-offs. We are all very proud of their achievements at the Club and wish them luck heading into the Autumn Nations Cup.” As well as England, Bath’s Taulupe Faletau has also been selected for Wales’ Autumn Nations Cup squad.
