If the restrictions are lifted as planned, we can all go to the pub again from Monday 12 April. So long as that all goes to plan, here's what you can expect from some of our great local venues!

Frome Road, Southwick, Nr Trowbridge Weather permitting The Farmhouse will be opening again on Friday 16 April. This locals’ favourite is a great option on warmer days with their big outdoor area. They have lots of picnic benches to ensure everyone is socially distanced and invite guests to bring their own chairs too if they prefer!

On the menu will be classic pub options alongside bottled beers and ciders, wines and spirits (no draught beers will be available for the time being). The Farmhouse will be open Friday 4pm – 8pm for dinner, all day (12noon to 8pm) on Saturdays for lunch and dinner and for Sunday lunches from 12noon to 4pm. There will be a full Sunday roast menu including veggie option. They have been offering takeaways throughout lockdown and this service will also be continuing for the foreseeable so if you’d prefer to eat your food at home then that’s fine too. Rather than operate a booking service they are operating on a first come, first served basis, so get there early!

TIMBRELL’S YARD

49 St Margaret’s Street, Bradford on Avon From Monday 12 April until Sunday 16 May Timbrelll’s Yard is performing its own rite of spring with five weeks of outdoor eating and drinking, in warmth and style, whatever the weather. They will also be serving food from a brand new Inside Out menu, full of seasonal dishes prepared with local ingredients.

They will be open all day, every day from Monday from 8.30am – 10pm weekdays and 8.30am – 11pm on weekends serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. You can make reservations for up to six people from two households.

Everyone is hoping for spring sunshine, dry days and warm evenings, but just in case the British weather doesn’t deliver, they have a wood burner and sheepskin rugs to keep you cosy. You’ll be under canvas so do come dressed for the occasion. A little layering is always wise! And, of course, you’ll need a face covering.
