This autumn sees the return of TROWBRIDGE MUSEUM'S Heritage Festival, the first since reopening after their huge redevelopment project.

Trowbridge Heritage Festival will begin on Thursday 21 October, kicking off a jam-packed 10 days of historic activities and events. Whether you are ready to immerse yourself in their interactive ‘Horrible Histories’ inspired talk (fun for all of the family), want to sit back and relax in a charming film screening, or you fancy stepping back in time with re-enactors and memory days, there is something for everyone!
Visitors will have to chance to look at never-before-seen objects from the museum’s collection in Costume Drawing sessions and have a go at new crafts throughout the duration of the festival, before it culminates with a two-day history conference, packed full of interesting talks, each spotlighting the fantastic heritage of Wiltshire’s county town.
Many of the festival events are free and are perfect for a families, taking place in Trowbridge museum's brand new Learning Hub located on their newly opened upper floor. As well as the family-friendly programme there will also be a succession of adult-only talks, workshops and film viewings catering for an older audience.
In addition to the Festival the museum will also be hosting its usual array of family interactives, the famous mouse hunt and fascinating stories from this unique town within the West Country. Go to the website for more details and to book but be quick, this is a festival not to be missed!
