irst, let me say that this is a very good film, of that there is no argument. However, it's also a film in which the brilliance of its performances is both its strongest point and its weakest point at the same time. Sound a bit strange to you? I'll bet, but then again, I just saw Bombshell and came away feeling just that way.

What's more, simple screening and early detection with available non-invasive technologies can help to prevent more serious conditions, such as end-stage liver disease or liver cancer. If you are overweight, obese, have diabetes or are concerned about your liver health, talk to your doctor about how your liver function impacts your health and find out if you are at risk for liver disease.

WITH EARLY DETECTION & LIFESTYLE CHANGES You Only Have One Liver The best approach is to maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise, including aerobic activity, such as walking and weight-bearing exercise to burn carbohydrates, fats, and proteins to enable the liver to function more efficiently. PALACE RINGS IN A RIP ROARING 2020 IN ROYAL GLAM STYLE WITH THE ROARING 20S NYE CELEBRATION

Palace owner Thomas Donall and his famous drag queens have a lot to celebrate in the new year. Just a few years ago, no one was certain Miami's storied drag restaurant and bar would even remain. When Tom announced Palace would be relocating from its original spot at 1020 Ocean Drive, the community feared it meant the end of the long-standing entertainment mecca. At its final blowout celebration, Tom vowed to bring it back at a bigger location that has a hotel and make it an LGBTQ center. He spent months driving up and down Ocean Drive on his scooter and talking to property owners. Tom even considered spots off of Ocean Drive, but realized they wouldn't do. "If I took Palace off the Drive, it wouldn't be the same Palace," explained Tom. 20 WIREMAG.COM #26 2019

Tiffany Fantasia will host the evening with performances by Shanaya Bright, Daniel Vasquez, Kalah Mendoza, Joanna James, Akasha O'Hara Lords, Poizon Ivy, Elishaly D'Witshes, Olga Dantelly, and Yeisa Jovovich; and music by DJ Cesar Hernandez. Packages start at $95 per person for a three course prix fixe dinner that includes a glass of champagne. You can also enjoy a three course prix fixe dinner with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot for $195. Heavy rollers can order a bottle of Dom Perignon for $495.
The space he would eventually choose was one of the first locations Tom looked at. "It's perfect," he says now. "It's a much larger space with indoor and outdoor seating areas and a front patio with awnings that allows the queens to perform like never before, and our fabulous rooftop bar and pool." Palace's storied past stretches back to 1988 when Steve Palsar first opened the restaurant in a Miami Beach much different from the city we know and love today. Back then, there were no restaurants on Ocean Drive. Palace would usher in a whole new era that would eventually lead to cafes up and down the street and the strip becoming a literal runway for celebrities like Elton John, Madonna, and even royalty like Princess Diana.

By the turn of the millennium, however, the heyday had ended and Palace fell into decline. Thomas Donall, a nightclub owner and designer from Michigan, took over the restaurant and bar in 2007. In addition to launching a major renovation, he introduced daily drag on-the-street shows, Palace's now famous drag brunch, and weekly T-Dances. In fact, on Sunday, December 29 at 5 p.m. Palace will host its last T-Dance for the year with performances by Ebonee Excel, Akasha O'hara Lords and Shanaya Bright – and no cover charge.

This 52-room hotel delivers an accessible luxury experience in the fast growing Collins Park neighborhood, just steps from The Bass contemporary art museum and Miami City Ballet. You will be staying in a historic streamline deco building built in 1934 by the Collins Canal. The Canal was constructed by John Collins, who colonized modern day South Beach and focused on sustainable farming and trade with the mainland. My room featured soft coastal tones and a number of items created in partnership with local Miami Beach artisans, such as custom millwork and handwoven tapestry. I also really enjoyed the fresh Revival linens, Le Labo bath products, and relaxing rain shower. During my sojourn, I had a delicious dinner at Mama Joon, which features veg-forward homestyle Mediterranean cuisine with a strong Lebanese influence from Rami Zeidan's heritage, handpicked family favorite dishes, and additional fare from Southern Italy and Greece. Mama Joon's dishes were created collaboratively with the local Miami culinary team of Executive Chef Harry Capacetti from Matador Room and Bar and Restaurant Director, Hakien Pagan, from the EDITION Hotel. "We take great pride in creating and delivering on elegant, high quality food and drinks, and seek to serve the people, not just the elite. We're really excited to partner with Rami and the Life House team to make Mama Joon an accessible experience," explained Chef Capacetti. The restaurant menu features a variety of signature dishes that are all meant to be shared and range from $14 to $32.

I started my delectable dinner with a stiff TiCopa cocktail with mezcal, Chartreuse, passion fruit liqueur and firewater bitters; a selection of fresh Mediterranean breads; and the Mama's Mezze with a mixture of authentic and modern Mediterranean dips and dishes set in colorful ceramics that included a house labneh, house-made marinated chili feta and tabouli, falafel, fried chickpeas, beet hummus, baba ghanoush, and Aegean olives, served with za'atar manousheh. My second courses, served family style, were the Beet Salad with cucumber, heirloom tomato, feta, olives and red wine vinaigrette; Halloumi, Avocado Flatbread with seasonal herb salad; and Roasted Cauliflower with shawarma spice, delicata squash, za'atar herbs, lemon, capers, raisins and sunflower seeds. The third courses were Grilled Lamb Chops with cucumber, olives, goat cheese and mint; Za'atar Spiced Chicken with chili roasted carrots, spinach and house made spiced yogurt; and Florida Clams with leeks, lemon, chili and charred sourdough. You can enjoy Mama Joon Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the hotel's lounge until 1:30 a.m. – offering coffee and tea creations, fresh juices and local pastries at Mama's Cafe during the day, while transforming into Mama's Bar at night and serving refreshing, spritz cocktails featuring ingredients like falernum, kaffir lime and herb infused Mastika.
