CELEBRATIONS is a multi-use program that describes the Adventist lifestyle. The seminar outlines the contents of the program ensuring that presenters are familiar with the science that supports the Adventist way of “living life to the fullest.” The various themes of the acronym are covered in some detail and an emphasis is placed upon several aspects of living that sometimes are not emphasized. This expanded view of “living life to the fullest” incorporates within it elements that have recently been shown to be of vital importance such as social support, integrity and mental health.

C.H.A.R.T.E.R.S. (Comprehensive Health And Rehabilitation Through Evidence-based Researched Strategies) is a seminar that will give both theory and practice in the running of a church-based health program. It also explains the technique on how to bridge the church-based health program leading them to the loving Saviour.

Clinical results are measured before and after the program with outstanding results published in nearly 20 health journals including the American Journal of Cardiology, January 2012. Depression Recovery: • Neil Nedley, MD Training the • Paula Reiter Trainer

Eight Natural RemediesHydrotherapy

Description This training is designed to teach directors and facilitators to host a health education program on depression and anxiety recovery. The goal of the Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program is to inform participants how to identify depression and its causes, learn about lifestyle and nutrition treatments for depression, learn thinking techniques to avoid depression and anxiety, learn to make positive lifestyle choices, manage stress, appropriately deal with loss and how to improve brain function. This will be achieved through in-depth lectures and facilitated small group discussions.

• Roby Angelina Sherman, MD The workshop will consist of practical talks presenting scientific theory and will include demonstration of many treatments including hydrotherapy, use of charcoal and other natural remedies for home use.

Home Grown Nutrition • Scott Arrington, BS, USCG • Bert Connell, BS, MS, PhD

Practical techniques for the small farmer/backyard gardener to bring the nutrient density up in the food crop by implementing methods and adding amendments designed to cooperate with nature, and enhance beneficial biology above and below ground. Reconnect the Adventist health message with clean, responsible agriculture and show that the health of the person is only as good as the health of the food consumed and this is only as good as the health of the soil and farming practices which the food comes from. Respecting nature and thus nature’s God in our food production will not only provide human health but has the capability to foster healthy relationships between us and our food, our soil, our earth, our churches, our communities and ultimately our God in heaven.

Track for Pastors • Mark Finley, MA, DDiv Jesus’ Methods in the • Esther R. Knott, MDiv 21st Century • Ivan Williams, DMin

Pastor: are you living your full potential for ministry? Are you experiencing optimal mental and physical health? Have you ever wondered how to apply Jesus’ methods of evangelism in the 21st century? Have you ever wished you could discover a workable model of health evangelism that ministered to people physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually? Would you like to discover practical ways of ministering to your community’s felt needs to introduce them to their ultimate need-Jesus Christ? Mark and Ernestine Finley have implemented the principles of health evangelism internationally for over forty years and have developed strategies that transform members and entire churches into active, enthusiastic soul winners in the ministry of Christ.
