Guest Policy Any eligible person from the above list may register one additional person in the same course, as their guest, at the same course fee level.

Children Mini Courses is a lifelong education program designed for adult learners. Participants must be 18 years old to enroll in a Mini Course. Enrollees who are 16 or 17 years old may participate with concurrent paid registration and attendance by a parent/legal guardian. Children under 16 years of age are only allowed to enroll in courses specifically designated for their age group and/or in courses that state “parent and child” in the course description. For liability reasons, there are no exceptions to this policy.

Dance Night Learn to Dance – Latin

Couples recommended, partners are not guaranteed for single registrants. NO refund of course fee if you are not able to find a partner in class. Please do not wear tennis shoes or sandals. A hard-soled shoe is best. Course fee is per individual.

Latin is a fun and energetic dance that can be done to a wide variety of music. Learn the steps to popular Latin dances, including the Merengue, Salsa, Cha-Cha and more. East Coast Swing

No matter what kind of music you like, from big band to rock to country, you can dance to it with the East Coast Swing. This fast-paced exuberant dance, which has roots in the 1920’s Lindy Hop, consists of many fun steps, spins and turns. Postural Alignment Therapy

Join the Pain Free Revolution! Postural Alignment Therapy is a non-medical approach to pain relief using targeted corrective exercises to resolve underlying dysfunctions. Using posture and gait analysis, and biomechanical testing, Postural Alignment Therapists are able to understand the cause of the pain. We do not chase symptoms, but seek to understand and correct the underlying dysfunctions causing the pain. Postural Alignment Therapy is also used by professional and amateur athletes to increase sports performance and prevent injuries. Sailing Theory & Practice Join the fun on Lake Mendota and learn to sail! On the first day we will cover on-land training on sailing theory and rigging the boat (Tech dinghy). You may also get out on the water if time and weather permits. Come prepared to get wet! The second and third classes will consist of significant on-the-water instruction. Course fee includes sailing handbook and $30 boat user fee which may be applied to any current year Hoofer Sailing Club membership (allows for unlimited instruction and use of all sailing crafts, once certified). Lapidary is the art of cutting, polishing or engraving stones. See how you can take a rough rock such as an agate or jasper and turn it into a work of art suitable for incorporating into jewelry. Designed for the beginner and a great complement to your jewelry making. Learn safety and the basic skill techniques to saw, grind, sand, and polish many different types of rock into cabochons. A cabochon is a gemstone which has been shaped and polished as opposed to faceted. The resulting form is usually a convex top with a flat bottom. Imagine you are on the ancient Silk Road and need protection from marauders and spirits. A simple handspun, handknit, and embellished bag from camel fiber requires simple skills that can lead to many fiber adventures. You will first learn the basics of hand spinning on a spindle and then spin from Bactrian camel fiber. Next explore the basics of knitting (or practice your skills) to knit a small bag that will be filled before the third evening when you will use silk thread and beads to embellish your bag with a traditional amulet motif.
