WKU Soccer finishes season with loss against Sam Houston

WKU Soccer fell in their regular season finale against Sam Houston 1-0 Friday night With the season on the line and a trip to the Conference USA tournament at stake, WKU hosted Sam Houston at the WKU Soccer Complex Despite outshooting the Bearkats 11-7, Sam Houston won the shots on goal battle 3-2

In the 83rd minute, Sam Houston ended the stalemate, scoring on a shot that bounced down off the crossbar. WKU tried to respond with multiple good looks late, but they couldn’t capitalize, as one shot went over the cross bar

look for bounce back season

WKU Women’s basketball will open the regular season on Monday, Nov 4 against Indiana State following a dominant win in an exhibition game against Lee University

The Hilltoppers are looking to rebound from a disappointing 2023 season in which they went 15-17 overall and a mere 6-10 in conference

However, the Hilltoppers have had success recently, making the Conference USA championship game the year before.

This confidence is further fueled by the preseason Conference USA poll, in which the Hilltoppers were ranked fourth to begin the season
