Kentucky Museum hosts critical race theory forum

The Kentucky Museum, in association with America 250 and the Kentucky African American Heritage Commission, hosted a public forum on Thursday, Nov. 14, addressing the reality of issues with critical race theory According to their official website, America 250 is an organization that works to strengthen American democracy in commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, July 4, 2026.

The Kentucky African American Heritage Commission states on its website it is an organization focused on promoting significant African American culture and history in Kentucky.

The forum’s panel was made up of the Associate Dean of Potter College and Political Science Professor Jeffrey Budziak, Social Work Professor Amy Cappiccie, Associate African American History Professor Andrew Rosa and Religious Studies Professor Sophia Arjana.

Department of Theatre & Dance warms up for annual ‘WinterDance’

The WKU Department of Theatre & Dance will perform its annual “WinterDance” Friday through Saturday in Van Meter Auditorium The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The performance runs for less than two hours and features ten distinct dance numbers performed by the WKU Dance Company Each number contributes to an overarching theme. This year ’ s performance is titled “‘Tis the Season ”

In her office on the second floor of the Downing Student Union, WKU Vice President of Student Experience and Dean of Students Martha Sales lives and breathes student life and student success at WKU

The four-time WKU graduate has spent most of her life on the Hill, and she has no regrets. Born and raised in Franklin, Kentucky, Sales says her parents empowered her to be herself and challenge herself, supporting her each step of the way Her mother only completed a tenth-grade education while her father only reached eighth. Sales called her parents “the wisest people I have ever known ”

In her junior year of high school, Sales was told by a school counselor that college was not for her.

Hilltoppers hope for homecoming victory

WKU Football will host Louisiana Tech on Saturday for a homecoming showdown at Houchens-Smith Stadium

Tyson Summers said in a press conference. “I would say certainly the good, that is exactly what you talk about – five takeaways. Some of them came at some key points in time. The bad, we ’ ve got to be better on third down. We talked about that in here last week The ugly, we ’ ve got to be better in the rushing game ”

WKU Volleyball claims sole possession of C-USA regular season title
