If students are looking for ways to get involved on campus this semester, WKU Student Activities will showcase several clubs and organizations at its annual DiscoverFest on Tuesday, August 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. From recreation to education, WKU offers over 250 Registered Student Organizations open to all students According to WKU’s website, RSO’s are opportunities to form and create studentled organizations based on shared interests, passions and hobbies

“I’ve been voting here [W.R. McNeill Elementary School] for probably 45 years, both of my daughters went here,” Bobby Rascoe said. Rascoe is a former WKU student services employee and basketball player. "[College Students] just need to be a part of the future of voting and expressing their feelings and so forth” Rascoe said.

Bobby Rascoe, a WKU basketball legend and an inaugural member of the WKU Athletics Hall of Fame, passed away Saturday, Aug 24 at the age of 84

Rascoe played three seasons as a Hilltopper and in that time made his mark as an all-time Hilltopper great He was named an All-American his senior season in 1962 and was a two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference First-team member in 1961 and 1962. He was named to the conference’s 40th Anniversary Team in 1988

TJ Finley to start at Alabama

Throughout the off-season, there had been many questions surrounding which quarterback would lead WKU football into the 2024 season Now, just days before the Hilltoppers take the field in their week one contest against Alabama, we have an answer – kind of.

Head Coach Tyson Helton announced Monday that redshirt-junior transfer TJ Finley “will run out there first” against the Crimson Tide on Saturday but said that there is a chance that redshirt-sophomore Caden Veltkamp sees the field as well
