A World of Difference The Cape Town Summer Internship Program, established in 2016 as a partnership between the Williams School and the Shepherd Poverty Studies Program at

Washington and Lee University, provides an opportunity for students from all backgrounds to apply a broad array of skills in a meaningful way.

"Cape Town represents an especially unique and new setting in which to consider topics such as governmental change, race and inequality, as well as the effects of

urban architecture," said Denny Garvis, program director and professor of business

administration. "We make speciďŹ c efforts to inform students that the program is open to all Washington and Lee majors and that it provides an opportunity for those who may not be able to study abroad during the regular academic year." Read More

Registration for Young Alumni Weekend 2019 (Oct. 25 - 27) is open. We will celebrate the 5th and 10th reunions for classes of 2009 and 2014, as well as celebrating last year's cancelled reunions — 6th and 11th — for the classes of 2008 and 2013.

Panama Canal and Costa Rica: Jan. 16-24, 2020. We'll sail during the best time of the year on a voyage that also celebrates one of the planet's most pristine ecosystems, the rainforests, islands and archipelagos of Panama and Costa Rica.

Alumni, parents and friends once again gave generously to Washington and Lee during the 2018-19 fiscal year ending on June 30. With undergraduate alumni giving more dollars than ever before, the Annual Fund result of $10,713,229 was the second-highest total ever achieved following last year’s record result of $10,858,812.
