Obituary Maria Anna McNair, affectionately known as Marie, was the daughter of Stewart Clayborne and the late Irene McNair. Sister Marie was educated in the Philadelphia public School System, she worked several jobs, all in the Human Services Field. Sister Marie received Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age. In her early 30’s she committed her life as a Christian under the leadership of Pastor T.C Pierce of New Jerusalem Evangelist Temple. Marie shared over 20 years of her life with companion Edward (bones) Jones. Maria and bones were always willing to open their house to those in need of shelter, food or clothing. Marie loved life and people. Although biologically a mother to one son, Irving (Ike) McNair, she mothered many including her two sister, four brothers, ten nieces, nephews, cousins, Grandnieces, and Grandnephews. Through the challenges and temptations of life Sister Maria strayed away from the fellowship of Christianity, but never lost her love for Jesus, often answering the telephone with “praise the lord”. Marie often attended Dunamis Temple of Deliverance under the leadership of Overseer L.A Williams, where she received constant prayer. During the year of 2009, invited by a family friend Sandra Scott, Maria visited From The Heart Church Ministries of Philadelphia where she remained a member until her passing. Marie fought a good fight and kept the faith. The almighty saw fit to call Sister Marie home to eternal rest, ending her battle with cancer. She leaves to mourn Father Stewart Clayborne, Companion Edward Jones, Son Irving McNair, Sister and caretaker Mary, Sister Elizabeth, Brothers: James, Leonard, Nathaniel, Aunt Bernice, Lynetta, host of Nephews, Nieces, Grandniece, Grandnephews, cousins, and Friends.
