2024 Better Newspaper Contest

Awards presented Oct. 5, 2024 in Olympia, Wash.

2024 Better Newspaper Contest

WNPA’s annual contest celebrates great work

We are thrilled to once again celebrate the great work published each year in Washington’s community newspapers.

Inside these pages you will find the results of this year’s contest in advertising, special sections, news, general

excellence, photography and digital contributions.

When you see the broom graphic, that means all three places in a category were swept by the same person.

The awards are presented each year in October at the annual convention, so it is good to mark your calendars and plan to attend. Much is gained from coming together.

Generally, the Better Newspaper Contest site opens in April and stays
