Early in your senior year is the best time to apply to Wofford.
APPLICATION DEADLINES: EARLY DECISION: Submit your application for Early Decision if Wofford is your top choice. This application decision is binding, meaning students who apply and are admitted are expected to enroll at Wofford and withdraw all applications from other schools.
DEADLINE: November 1 NOTIFICATION: December 1 EARLY ACTION: If you don’t have a clear first-choice college, this is the recommended application deadline for you. Early Action is non-binding and allows you to receive a decision about admission and scholarships earlier in the process than a Regular Decision applicant. DEADLINE: November 15 NOTIFICATION: February 1 REGULAR DECISION: If you don’t have a clear first-choice college and have missed the Early Action deadline, don’t worry! RICHARDSON FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is the highest honor awarded to a first-year student at Wofford. A recipient is chosen from the applicant pool, and the selection process includes an on-campus interview in March.
THE IMPACT PROGRAM*
Want to start a business, create a nonprofit or get involved in your community? You may qualify for an Impact and Launch scholarship—a competitive fouryear scholarship for students who want to learn new essential skills like design thinking, entrepreneurship and project management.
OUT-OF-STATE FINANCIAL GUARANTEE
Out-of-state applicants who have a 3.0 or higher GPA and a score of at least 1100 on the SAT or 24 on the ACT may qualify for a $5,000 financial guarantee. Please note that Wofford recalculates GPAs using a weighted 4.0 scale. Weighting is added for AP and IB courses only.
FIRST-GENERATION SCHOLARSHIPS
Students from South Carolina who represent the first generation in their family to attend college may qualify to receive a merit-based scholarship of $20,000 per year. These scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis using admission applications.
