A California Summer

The current phase of scheme to enhance California Country Park is due to be finished by summer.

We’ve been changing the car park’s layout the past few months to make it easier to park but had to temporarily relocate parking while we did this. Thank you for your patience. We’ve also built a new two-way road in and out of the park and will be working on the second phase of the new Greenway.

By the café, new pergolas are creating an allweather outdoor seating area, and this autumn we also hope to start work on the play area.

But before we even did any of this, we worked with ecologists to relocate reptiles and glow worms affected by the work to a new home within the park. This also means wildlife biodiversity will increase.
