Interns have the unique opportunity to learn about the Fashion industry and more specifically, behind the scenes publicity and clothing line development – a distinctive and constantly changing field. Among many things, an intern will learn to enhance their skills on creating press releases, media alerts, press kits, advance media mailings, creative media campaigns specific to launch events, fashion shows, seasonal clothing campaigns, managing guest lists, and of course skills imperative for any young professional such as multitasking, taking initiative, intermediate computer skills, administrative work, and managing events. Our interns will need to become familiar with media outlets: magazines, late night and morning TV shows, heavy hitters in the plusize industry, national newspapers, regional newspapers, TV shows, top websites, blogs, bloggers, and webzines that are crucial to the plus-size industry. Interns will work closely with the CEO, and Creative Designer of Wole’ as well as all associating companies including their employees, each with a unique background and point of view in the fashion industry. In addition, when our presence is requested at different locations in other states the interns will have the opportunity to attend the show as well as meet managers, booking agents and their label representatives. Preferably a current college student taking the internship for credit, or a professional that wants to gain additional experience in the fashion industry. Must have experience with social media, newsletters, PR, marketing, graphic design, and video.
