The digital SLR

Camera terminology-oh my

Most DSLR’s are very similar ☺

It is good to know â˜ş

Film versus digital sensor

Let’s have fun for a moment

RAW vs. JPEG Most cameras let us decide which image resoluFon we record with. RAW is un- compressed and considered a” digital negaFve” DNG- it needs “developing in a program” ( PS, Adobe Lightroom,… ) JPEG is compressed and has a much smaller file size. It is good enough for semi- professional use. More file standards to know: TIFF PDF GIF

Technology should never get in the way of fun & creaFvity

I S O, Aperture, ShuXer •  ISO = sensor sensiFvity •  Aperture = lens opening •  ShuXer = Fme for exposure
