On the 5th of July 2015, we will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary as a ministry. Our ministry began back in 2011 and God has seen us through the good and the bad. Ministry is more than titles and accolades, it requires selflessness, dedication and a whole lot of prayer! Most importantly, it requires a faithful servant’s heart. God has been faithful in providing us with resources and people to advance his kingdom. For us, the most rewarding aspect of ministry is seeing someone’s life, even if its just one person, reconciling and reconnecting with Christ through the ministry. We have met amazing women and have grown. This year, we will be celebrating our journey by hosting a faith-filled conference for women. This will feature amazing men and women of God who will be equipping us with the right type of tools in order to be effective women in every area of our lives. We appeal to you to inform us regarding what you would like us to cover during the conference and if you would like to be one of our volunteers. Looking forward to an amazing day! 4th Anniversary conference Celebrating 4 years of love, fellowship and faith

Woman of influence : Dora Phala

In the bible we read of the story of Esther, who even she has gone through the pain of growing up an orphan, did not allow that to define or become a crutch which she would lean on when she was needed the most. In fact n would say it was this great adversity and that made Queen Esther so compassionate to the Israelites. This month’s Woman of Influence is a lot like Esther, even though her childhood was not as rosey as others seem, she choose to use her adversity to help save the lives of many others. Ladies meet Ms Dora Phala

Can you tell us a bit more about yourself (where you grew up, your childhood memories and the type of vision you had for yourself whilst growing up? I grew up in two places, a village called Sekuruwe and a township called Mahwelereng of which I still reside. Most of my memories revolves around being in and out of hospital, because I was a sick child. The only vision I had of myself was to see me being healed and being normal like any other child. I always wear my heart on my sleeve, love to speak and finding solutions for people. Totally sold out for Jesus. What type of challenges have you had to face that have ultimately shaped you into the woman that you are today? There is quite a lot but the one that stands out is being sick for a longer period and finally finding my healing through Jesus and I regained confidence to be able to stand. I always wear my heart on my sleeve, love to speak and finding solutions for people. Totally sold out for Jesus. Tell us more about Daughters of Esther? Daughters of Esther is a righteousness and Beauty class aimed to transform the life of a feminine vessel through mentorship, leadership and etiquette.

What message can you give to our readers? Yesterday is in the tomb today is in the womb, seize the day. Jesus said ...'apart from me you can do nothing'...John 15:5 Receive Him today and experience newness of life.

Launch of our mentorship programme

Here are some alarming statistics around issues facing our youth today The unemployment rate among youth increased from 32,7% to 36,1% in the past year. 1 in 3: The number of 19 year-olds said to be mothers 40% of children live without their biological fathers. In the cities this figure goes up to 80%. 85% of children with behavioural problems come from fatherless homes. 90% of homeless children come from fatherless homes. 63% of children attempting suicide come from fatherless homes. These issues stem from a lack of a proper foundation in homes because broken people raise broken children and the cycle spans from generation to generation. The current mechanisms devised to deal with these issues including birth control and sex education are simply dealing with causes rather than root of the issues we are currently facing. As it has been said “It is easier to fix a broken child than a broken adult” and that “without a proper foundation we cannot build proper structures”. It is crucial to focus on how to groom a child into a focused adult by fostering structures meant to build a child. The teenage phase is one of the most challenging phases of a person’s development cycle because that is where one becomes impressionable and the world’s system preys on that. Media endorses misogyny, glamorised dangerous lifestyles and overnight success and this, together with peer pressure, contributes to these alarming statistics.

The question posed to us, as adult is what are we doing to combat these issues? We are stewards of the world we live in and that we are accountable for our contribution and deposit in the lives of people around us. “The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people, but the silence of good people”. Without a shadow of a doubt, Limpopo is the home of prominent leaders. The most influential parliamentary figures have emerged from our soil. From the current governor of the reserve bank, the former MEC of education who is now the Minister of health, to the Premier of Gauteng province! Clearly there is great potential found in the lives of our people. Dare I say, in the next 10 years, the world’s most powerful and influential figures will emerge from our soil. However, we cannot let our future leaders become subject to a lack of leadership structures to assist them in reaching their potential and also being exposed to the right amount of opportunities that connect them to their purpose. What is Future leaders Mentorship programme? This programme is aimed at ensuring that teenagers receive mentorship to bring a young person together with an older, more experienced individual who can offer support and guidance, to create a relationship which will improve the young person’s life. This programme will include the following; Offering leadership masterclasses to young individuals Connecting pupils to relevant stakeholders regarding opportunities available to further their studies Ensuring that each of our prospective members mentor at least one child for a prolonged period Connecting pupils to youth programmes in the community and also assisting those community outreach initiatives Programme outcomes Our key performance indicators will be based on; •
