Women In Technology (WIT)

Women in Technology is a recently formed society (2016) at the University of New South Wales Australia and is a network of 3000+ students with similar interests and goals surrounding STEM, who support the need to encourage diversity within the technology industry. Our events are held on and off campus and aim to develop students’ soft and hard skills relating to the corporate world. This includes our Annual Hackathon, Empowerment Program, social catch ups and networking events with industry representatives. WIT is proud of its innovative and positive environment, whereby long term connections and friendships are made, helping to play a part in removing the gender imbalance that exists in the sector. WIT intends to serve the dual purpose of empowering current students interested in technology, as well as encouraging high school students to pursue a future in technology.
