Bunker Rake Placement
Course maintenance crew will place bunker rakes with the rake-head in the bunker, and the handle out. The ongoing goal is to have rakes in a consistent position. So, in the unfortunate circumstance when your ball is in a bunker, after raking the sand following your shot out, please return rakes to the designated position. Golfers behind you will be appreciative!
Golf Rules
Previous Question –
A spectator deliberately deflects a player’s ball in motion after a stroke from the general area. The ball would have come to rest in a bunker. What is the ruling?
Answer –
The player must take relief based on the estimated spot where the ball would have come to rest if it was not deflected or stopped. Rule 11-2.
This Month’s Question –
In stroke play, a player begins taking their stance while their caddie stands on the fringe of the putting green on an extension of the line of play behind the ball; the player then plays. What’s the ruling?
