CELEBRATING SUCCESS & COMMUNITY: The Impact of the Legacy & Ambassador Programs

BY KRISTINE ROBERSON MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR

May is recognized nationally as Mental Health Month, a time when we focus on the well-being of our minds as much as our bodies. Recent studies have shown that loneliness can be a significant health risk factor, comparable to smoking or obesity. The more researchers dive into this important aspect about human health, the more we understand the importance of community and connection in combating these feelings of isolation.

It turns out that fostering a welcoming, family-oriented environment where every member feels connected to others and a part of something bigger is not only good for the Club, but it’s good for our members’ health as well.

Results of the 2024 Legacy Program

Our Legacy Program is a testament to this commitment — thank you for encouraging your relatives to join under the program. This year, we welcomed 10 new members, including 4 Young Professionals, 3 Full Golf, 2 Sports, and 1 Single Golf member. Additionally, the program has facilitated 13 membership upgrades, all transitioning to golf memberships. The new memberships have contributed an impressive $5,235 in monthly dues, totaling $62,820 annually, with upgrades adding another $3,710 monthly or $44,580 annually. These figures not only showcase our growth, but also our commitment to enhancing our members’ experiences and fostering a supportive community. Thank you.

Help Welcome New Members

The Legacy Program may be concluded for 2024, but there’s still work to do. To ensure each new member feels integrated and valued, our Ambassador Program plays a critical role. This initiative helps new members navigate their new social and recreational environment at the Club. Seasoned members volunteer as Ambassadors, offering guidance and friendship, and introducing newcomers to all that Woodbridge has to offer, from our championship golf courses to our vibrant social gatherings. This personal connection is vital in making every member feel at home, supported, and connected.

Our Ambassadors embody our Club’s spirit of community and service. By volunteering, they help new members adjust and enrich their own club experience, fostering deeper connections and reinforcing our ethos of family and community support. This is crucial not just for the physical health benefits that our recreational facilities provide, but also for the mental and emotional well-being of our community.

The success of the Ambassador Program relies heavily on the participation of our existing members. Simply put, we cannot do it without you. Volunteering as an Ambassador is a rewarding opportunity to enhance your own experience, meet new members, and strengthen the bonds within our Club community. It’s about making a lasting impact and contributing to the welcoming, friendly atmosphere that defines Woodbridge.

We encourage all members, both new and established, to get involved, whether through volunteering as an Ambassador or participating in our many events. Your involvement is crucial to maintaining the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that makes Woodbridge a truly exceptional place.
