amazing! But it’s hard to be young in the current climate: demonised by the media, burdened by increasing costs for education and faced with unemployment rising at a frightening rate. Many feel they are not valued and have no stake in society.

Since 1925, we’ve offered youth-led activities for girls and boys – giving urban children and young people access to the countryside, and helping them learn and develop through co-operative activities.

These skills mean that our young people go on to be the next generation of active citizens, trades unionists and co-operators.

Woodcraft Folk relies on donations to support the volunteers who run our weekly group nights, camps and activity weekends for children and young people.

I would like to donate:

You’ll be part of our friendly, co-operative community, we’ll send you regular email updates and The Courier, a termly newspaper produced by our young members.

Woodcraft Folk is asking for your help. Support our work by becoming a Friend of the Folk today! We offer young people an alternative. We actively engage young people from an early age, with a culture of equality and co-operation that inspires confidence and optimism.

Our weekly group nights and camps offer young people the chance to develop friendships and skills, which improve their life chances and build cohesion within local communities. Woodcraft Folk helps young people to think differently, take leadership roles and to create their own innovative and co-operative solutions.
