Off to a good start ... It looks like Real Estate in 2017 has entered the world kicking and screaming. We have had very good success over January with many homes Sold or placed Under Offer. This has proven that homes that are situated in the market correctly will get offers and that sellers willing to negotiate with buyers will get results. In this month we have seen a number of homes sell in the over $700,000 market with offers on more, we have also seen good value properties in the sub $600,000 range attract a lot of attention. The buyers are definitely out there looking and when they view a home that represents value they act. Typically at this time of the year in our office we can see a slowing of the market this can be due to climatic factors (heat) and buyers being busy with other aspects of life (new jobs, new schools etc) so its a pleasant surprise to have the market seem stronger at this time. Is this because Perth people are now starting to get their confidence back? Are we seeing the return of the Real Estate Mojo? Are the huge prices in the Eastern States starting to make Perth look like awesome value?... I think a combination of all of these. There is a lot of talk about our prices being at the “bottom of the market” certainly there seem to be a number of indicators pointing to that so... its looking like a good time to buy.
