Majority of the recorded mesothelioma cases are as a result of occupational hazard. Most of the people that suffer from mesothelioma have had acute exposure to asbestos from their workplace without any measures taken by the organization to provide a form of protection to their workers.
Based on this, testimonies were heard by the US House of Representatives on the bill “Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency Act of 2015” on the 4th of February 2015. Some of the critics to the bill argued if the bill would provide a fair process for transparency claims. On the other hand, it is viewed by some of the house members as unwarranted invasion into the private life of those who have been injured by asbestos.
