Introducing your Quiet Time
a special time that you set aside each day to read God’s Word, to get to know Him better, and to learn how He wants you to live. During this time, God speaks to you through His Holy Word, the Bible, and you speak to God through prayer. What an adventure! As a Christian, spending this time in God’s Word every day is very important for you to grow closer to Him.
This booklet is divided into two sections:
Personal Prayer Diary
where you can write prayer requests to remind yourself to pray for people that you care about and things that are happening.
Quiet Time Activity Pages
where creative activities challenge you to understand the truths from the Bible every day.
Hey, Parents! This Quiet Time is a great opportunity for you to have fun together with your child. Here are some tips to help your child get the most out of their time in God’s Word.
• Sit down with your child around the same time each day.
• Gather supplies needed for activities.
• Use the Bible to look up references together.
• Talk through the activity and personal application.
• Encourage your child to use the prayer suggestions in the Pray section and pray with them.
• Complete the week by documenting how many days were completed and writing an encouraging note.
There is a Word of Life Quiet Time available for every person in your family! Look up Family Devotionals at wolstore.org. Since all the Quiet Times are based on the same Scripture passage each day, it’s a great way to get the whole family talking about what they’re learning from God’s Word.

Spend time with God through prayer.
Keeping a Personal Prayer Diary is a great way to remind yourself to pray for specific people and things. It also reminds you to thank God and to tell others when He answers your prayers.
FRIENDS
AND FAMILY
Ask God to help you to be more obedient and get along with others, so you can become the person He wants you to be. Your prayer time could include praying for friends and family, especially those who don’t know Jesus as their Savior.
MISSIONARIES
As you learn about missionaries who serve the Lord around the world, you can pray for them, too.
PRAISES AND THANKSGIVING
Some of your prayer time should be used to thank and praise God. Thank Him for sending Jesus to die on the cross for your sins. You can thank Him for things like your family, home, friends, and church, and for creating the beautiful world we live in.
YOU CAN TALK TO GOD ABOUT ANYTHING!
If someone in your family will be traveling, you can ask God to protect them. You can also ask God to meet needs for things like clothing, food, or even a job for your dad. Really, you can talk to God about anything. But be careful not to be selfish! Don’t ask for things that you want only for yourself.

John 3:16 tells the simple truth of the Bible.

Jesus sat down and rested when He was tired. He was kind when the Samaritan woman spoke to Him.
It’s important to know when to work and rest. Mark each statement with an R for rest or a W for work.

Jesus proved that He was God by performing miracles. Walking on water is a miracle.

Thank Jesus for being so powerful.
Jesus would have allowed the people to have Him arrested if He wanted them to. They were not in charge; Jesus was.
Jesus is always in control. Nothing happens without His permission. Find and circle the items Jesus controls.

Jesus loves everyone. He wants everyone to believe in Him so they can live in Heaven with Him one day.

Jesus wants you to ask God to forgive you for your sin instead of pointing out what others are doing wrong. Everyone sins, except Jesus, because He is God.

Jesus performed a miracle and healed a blind man. A miracle is something only God can do.
Number the pictures in the order they happened.
Jesus is the Good
His sheep. That means Jesus died on Shepherd. The Good Shepherd gave His life for the cross for your sins. Tell others what He has done!

The blind man told the Pharisees what Jesus had done for him. Witnessing is simply telling what Jesus has done for you.

A shepherd takes care of his sheep. He would protect the sheep even if it meant he died. Jesus is your Shepherd. He died and rose to life again to take away your sin.

Jesus was concerned about His friends, because they were very sad. How can you show your friends that you care about them?
Do the math to find the answer.
Ask God to help you be a friend that has good listening ears.
Some men went to Philip to ask him if they could meet Jesus.
What is something you could do if someone asked you how to meet Jesus? Follow the lines to each letter. Write the letters in the blanks to see one answer.

Jesus only said and did what His Father, God, wanted Him to say and do.

Tell God you will choose to obey like Jesus did.
Jesus said the Holy Spirit will be your Counselor or Helper. That means He will help you make good decisions.

Jesus is the best friend you can have. He is preparing a home for you in Heaven.

When you make a bad choice and sin, it should make you feel sad. The Holy Spirit wants you to ask for forgiveness and make things right when you sin.
Draw a happy face next to the good choices. Draw a sad face next to the bad choices.

Tell the new boy in class that I do not want to play with him.

The Roman soldiers hurt Jesus with their hands.
Jesus chose to die. The Roman soldiers would not have killed Him if He had not allowed it.
