Family days out

Where our children spend most of their week and how they are being educated is a decision which should take some serious consideration. We have put together this list of suggestions to make your life a little bit easier. Many local schools and nurseries offer free tours so please go and visit your choice options before making that final important decision.

Reigate Priory

The beautiful surroundings of Priory Park and our historic Grade 1 listed building provide a unique setting for our successful learning community. At the heart of this community is an ethos aimed at developing all aspects of your child. We do have high academic standards, but we know children need to enjoy a rich and diverse range of experiences in a caring and respectful atmosphere to achieve this. Our enthusiastic teachers deliver an innovative, broad and balanced curriculum. This, when combined with extensive extracurricular opportunities and an exemplary outdoor education programme creates a stimulating learning environment where your child can flourish. We view education as a joint venture involving your child, you, the school, its Governors and our local community. Everyone at Reigate Priory plays an important role and is proud of our school and its achievements. 73A Bell St, Reigate RH2 7AN. www.reigate-priory.co.uk/

Reigate St Mary’s

Welcome to Reigate St Mary’s, an outstanding independent nursery and day school for children aged 2 to 11. A junior school of Reigate Grammar School. At Reigate St Mary’s we believe a good education should be an inspirational and exciting journey preparing children for a happy and fulfilled life. We aim to produce confident, resilient and creative young people who will one day become leaders who care deeply about a sustainable and equitable future for everyone. In a world where there is a dearth of good leadership, believing that our young people can be change makers in whatever walk of life they end up in, is really our core business. We want them to believe in themselves and think big.

Hatchlands Primary School

Our school motto is ‘Learning today, to make a difference tomorrow’ as we all believe that instilling a love of learning and developing different learning skills is vital in preparing children for their future lives. We want our children to leave Hatchlands as confident and highly motivated, independent learners who are caring and positive citizens. Our values of Compassion, Courage, Responsibility and Respect are an integral part of school life and support the ethos of our school. Wellbeing and achievement go hand in hand and a key priority for us as a school is that every child is happy both in and out of the classroom. We strongly believe that if a child is not happy, they will not thrive academically or socially. We work closely with parents to ensure that every individual’s needs are being met and that every child is confident and has positive self-esteem, as we believe happy children make good learners. Our enthusiastic, professional, and dedicated teaching team work hard to ensure that every child develops into an exceptional individual with a love for learning and the capacity to reach academic excellence.

Reigate Grammar School

Our commitment to every RGS family is that we will know your child. We will believe in your child and will help them reach their full potential. Each child has his or her own unique blend of talents, skills, aspirations, and abilities. Appreciating and developing these qualities on the journey from childhood to young adulthood is a privilege and a responsibility that we take seriously. Students will flourish in our care, their self-esteem will grow, and they will become a success story for themselves, their family, and their school. But we will not forget that, behind their confident smile, they are still your daughter or son and that they will need our support and dedication every day.
