Brighton Open Air Theatre Since its opening in 2015 BOAT has gone from strength to strength and is now well established as part of Brighton and Hove’s cultural landscape. In its seventh year BOAT will be welcoming over 300 different local and national performers with over 130 performances and we hope to welcome at least 20,000 visitors through the gates. Merchant logo Brighton Fringe Box Office (Spiegeltent) Brighton Fringe is the largest open-access arts festival in England. It is an international festival that is at the same time rooted in the community. It embraces every art form and every form of artistic expression and supports both new and established performers in trying out new work and taking risks. In 2021 Brighton Fringe consisted of 630 events in 91 venues across the city, and attracted audiences of over 170,000. In 2020, despite the challenges we all faced, Brighton Fringe ran an Autumn Season made up of 88 in-person and digital events. Royal Pavilion The Royal Pavilion is a fabulous palace in the centre of Brighton with a colourful history. Artist Open House Artists Open Houses is 40 years old this year! Alongside an exceptionally brilliant range of artists’ houses and studios, this May’s festival is a celebration of forty years of Brighton and Hove’s Open Houses movement. It is also a commemoration of its founder Ned Hoskins who, in 1982, created a movement enabling access to art for everyone, by simply opening his Fiveways’ front door and inviting the public inside to view his work. www.aoh.org.uk
