Mill Meadows Mill and Marsh Meadows form the principal recreational park in Henley and are located adjacent to the River Thames upstream of Henley Bridge. The towpath bordering the park on the eastern side, forms part of the Thames Path – a national trail which stretches 184 miles from the Thames’s source in the Cotswolds to the Thames Barrier in London. River & Rowing Museum The River & Rowing Museum inspires escape and exploration in a beautiful riverside location in Henley on Thames. The home of the enchanting 3D Wind in the Willows story exhibition with lights, sound and interactives, the Museum also celebrates the richness of the wildlife that calls the riverbank its home. Further galleries celebrate the work of local Modern British artist John Piper (in the UK’s only gallery dedicated to his work), tell the story of Henley and, of course, the history of the sport of rowing. National Trust - Greys Court The gardens at Greys Court were virtually derelict when the Brunner family arrived in 1937. Warburg Nature Reserve Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust A hidden wildlife gem nestling in the Chiltern Hills, rich in wildlife that will lift your spirits whatever the season. Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire RG9 6BJscenery high up in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Warburg Nature Reserve is a remote and magnificent place, rich in exciting plants and animals all through the year. The flower-rich grasslands in the valley bottom give way to extensive woodlands rising up the valley sides. It is the richest BBOWT site in the three counties for orchids. From April right through to August orchids can be found in all of the habitats, including fly orchid and bird’s-nest orchid.
