The Horn Situated in the City Centre, The Horn is recognised as one of the top music pub venues in the UK. We won ‘Entertainment Pub of the Year 2008’ and ‘Live Music Pub Venue 2008’. We show around 80 acts a month and contrary to popular belief, 90% of these bands are original and not tributes. Ye Olde Fighting Cocks. Ye Olde Fighting Cocks dates back to the 8th Century. The pub you can see today was built in the 11th Century. St Albans Cathedral and grounds are just across the road and there are tunnels stretching from the beer cellar to the Cathedral, apparently used by Monks.
