The Putney Arts Theatre The Putney Arts Theatre stands in the original building of the Old Union Church. The new theatre was opened in July 1968 by the Mayor of Wandsworth in the presence of Sir John Mills, one of Group 64’s patrons. The building soon became a thriving theatre, expanding the range of its own productions and hosting visiting companies. Colour House Children’s Theatre Colour House opened as a theatre in the summer of 1995. Today the venue is open for a variety of theatre shows, events, music gigs and comedy. They have become best known for their weekend Children’s Theatre which specialises in producing original musical adaptions of famous fairy tales.
