Freezing and Unfreezing Job Requisitions Freezing temporarily puts a job requisition on hold. When frozen, it is not possible to attach a new candidate to a job requisition or hire a worker into the position or cannot create a job application.

WORKING WITH PROSPECTS & CANDIDATES Objectives

Statuses Within Recruiting  Candidates are Prospects when they are first manually entered into Workday Recruiting.

 When a Prospect is linked to a Job Requisition, they become an Active Candidate.  A person who applies through the external career site also becomes an Active Candidate.  At the initiation of the Offer or Background Check business processes, their status changes to

Pre-Hire.  Once hired, the person is a Worker.

Create Prospects Creating a Prospect is a quick way of getting people into Workday Recruiting. Often Recruiters and Managers meet people that are potential candidates with whom they want to nurture a relationship to see if there’s a fit.

Prospect Types and Statuses Recruiters can use prospect types and statuses to help manage a long list of prospects in their pipeline.

Prospect types help define the relationship the recruiter has with the prospect. Prospect statuses are used to help define what stage a manager or recruiter is at with a prospect.
