Director’s Corner Working Together Is the Key To Success The last few years has presented the child care industry, as a whole, with a vast array of challenges and changes. Child Care Services staff recognizes the tremendous amount of flexibility, determination, and difficulties each facility must go through on a daily basis. It is more important than ever we have open communication and work together as a team for the betterment of the children we serve. CCS will continue to strive to keep an open line of communication for you, our providers, to discuss any issues you might be facing, and to share pertinent child care information with the group. Client Services 2450’s Client Services staff are settling in and adjusting to all the new changes we have encountered with our TWIST system. We are working through all the new procedures and making adjustments as needed. We hope you are becoming more comfortable and able to maneuver through the formatting of the 2450’s. Again, please pay close attention to the caseworker documentation listed in the comment section of each form, as well as circled dates and mark outs of unnecessary information. In the near future, the 2450’s should become less cumbersome and easier to read. As always, you are free to email me with any questions you might have. Summer Enrollment It’s hard to believe, but summer is just around the corner. It will soon be time to think about CCS Summer enrollment. We will tentatively begin taking applications for school age children for summer only care in mid April. If you have parents needing this service, please encourage them to contact CCS to schedule an appointment. Appointments at this time are four weeks away, so please remind parents of the need to schedule these in advance.

Provider Meeting
Thank you for your patience with the Texas Department of Agriculture software transition. This was a tedious process for all of us, but we made it through.
Save the Date!!
Please REMEMBER the CACFP billing is due on the 5th of each month by 4:00 p.m. in our office. This will allow for the CACFP staff to review your billing and contact you for corrections, if needed. Thank you for your continued cooperation in this matter.
Workforce Solutions will host our Semi-Annual CCS Provider meeting on:
We will be sending a flyer on the annual CACFP training that will occur during April of 2012.
Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Mahon Library, located: 1306 9th Street, Lubbock, Texas 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
CACFP will soon become fully automated . We are currently working out the final details and will send out specifics about implementation very soon.
