Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing have unveiled the groundbreaking hypercar AM-RB 001 for the first time in the Middle East. Fiingly making its debut on the eve of the 2016 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, AM-RB 001 was presented during a private reception hosted by Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer and Red Bull Racing Driver Max Verstappen. The event was held at Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi, ahead of Aston Martin’s new showroom opening scheduled for early 2017.

Aston Martin’s Innovation Partnership with Red Bull Racing is to be extended to cover the 2017 season following an agreement signed at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Aston Martin is also confirming that all 150 road car versions of its groundbreaking AM-RB 001 hypercar have been sold out. Customer deliveries of the AM-RB 001 will commence in early 2019.

Red Bull Racing’s Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman and Aston Martin’s Chief Special Operations Officer, David King, created the AMRB 001 to provide the ultimate blend of cuing edge F1TM technology with Aston Martin’s signature sports car design. Just 175 examples, including 25 track-only specials, will be built, with all 150 road versions now allocated to customers.

The Aston Martin wings have adorned the two Red Bull Racing Formula 1 cars throughout the thrilling 2016 season, which culminated with the team securing second place in the constructor’s championship.

TESLA M Model X is the safest, fastest and most capable sport utility vehicle in history. With all-wheel drive and a 90 kWh baery providing 303 miles of range, Model X has ample seating for seven adults and all of their gear. And it’s ludicrously fast, accelerating from zero to 60 miles per hour in as quick as 3.2 seconds. Model X is the SUV uncompromised.
Safety First Design Model X is designed with safety as the first priority. The floor-mounted baery lowers the centre of gravity so that the risk of rollover is about half that of any vehicle in its class. The baery structure strengthens Model X against side impact intrusions. And without a gasoline engine, the large front trunk acts as a giant impactabsorbing crumple zone. Although the Euro NCAP has not yet conducted crash testing on Model X, Tesla's own internally conducted crash testing indicates that Model X should be the first SUV to receive the highest safety rating in every category.

Falcon Wings Falcon Wing doors allow easy access to second and third row seats from even a tight parking space, while traditional SUV doors or Minivan sliding doors would not grant any access. With only a foot of clearance on either side, Falcon Wing doors articulate smoothly up and out of the way, allowing passengers to enter from both front and rear directions. The eternal element air in all its forms, especially wind, became determining in defining

the concept and it was a great inspiration, as it is ever present in our lives: a jet turbine, the silence of a glider... the elegance of the wind movements but also the violence and force that it can unleash. The Huayra is made of more than 4000 components (engine and gearbox not included). To create them and put them together requires creativity, patience and passion that was shared with a fantastic young team and with the most competent partner in all sectors.

In defining the size, they immediately thought of a car that would be longer than the Zonda, a track increased by 70 mm, a cabin position shied 40 mm to the back and even more spacious. The silhouee should be so, easy to read and form itself from lean and sleek lines that have a clear beginning and an end. During these five years wthe best compromise was found working on 8 scale models and 2 full scale models, as well as hundreds of drawings.

The ideas were of including elliptical shapes reminding of our brand in the front and at the back, keeping the central exhaust as the completion of the line of the canopy, the line starting at the headlight area that continues and ends into the air intake. We also thought from the beginning of active aerodynamics. Flaps that are activated according to the study of results gathered through calculations and aerodynamic testing. The whole car is shaped as a wing so it was necessary to create a high front to reduce the length of the upper part of this wing to counteract li. The active suspension in the front and the 4 flaps allow to optimally balance the drag coefficient and downforce. Mercedes-AMG has created a truly unique and lightweight engine, a twin turbo with 730 HP and 1000 Nm of torque that perfectly complements the car giving a feeling that has motivated our research: that of the brute force of an airplane taking off.

The main focus was in a power delivery that was
linear and not with lag, because that could potentially create safety problems or a continuous operation of electronic driving aids. Mercedes-AMG already 5 years ago thought about the coming environmental restrictions by creating a 12-cylinder engine that is at the peak of efficiency in terms of CO2 and consumption. Pirelli has created a very progressive tyre with a exceptional grip in all situations and with low rolling friction. Every aspect of safety was treated taking into account the dynamic by which most accidents with high performance rear engined cars occur. While developing the C9 we witnessed the evolution of the different models of the Zonda and it showed us that the Zonda wasn’t obsolete as I had originally feared. The Zonda R has been a key laboratory for the Huayra. The team was able to work on many projects at the same time driving on different tracks that occasionally came to meet by sharing engineering concepts, materials, safety and scientific or design studies.

BMW i8 Protonic red Edition will be built in Leipzig from July The first in this line of special-edition models is the BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition. Like those set to follow in its tyre tracks, it is only available for a limited period. This take on the 2+2-seater with carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) passenger cell and efficient BMW eDrive drive system technology will be produced at BMW Plant Leipzig from July; it sports a Protonic Red paint finish with accents in Frozen Grey metallic. Quilted napa leather The Grand Sport only uses top-quality napa leather that has been carefully processed so as to retain its natural breathability. Based on historic models, the leather seat covers have been quilted using a method that has been reinterpreted for use in a modern car. The paern symbolises an acceleration curve.

MonocoQue The unique structure of the Bugai Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport made it especially challenging to design the removable roof module for the new version. The passenger compartment, designed as a monocoque, perfectly combines high rigidity and extremely low weight. It is the central element of the vehicle structure. Removing the roof takes away an integral component of this structure, meaning the load path had to be redefined in order to retain the high rigidity and crash safety, including side impact and rollover protection. Consequently, the monocoque was reinforced along the sills and transmission tunnel.

air scoops A characteristic feature of the Grand Sport are the two air scoops on the le and right of the bonnet (which are redesigned for the Vitesse). These air scoops serve two functions in the roadster: firstly, they provide air intake for the engine and secondly, they are an elegantly integrated component of the rollover protection system.
