For the first time in the history of the UAE, The International World Raing Championship will take place at Wadi Adventure, in Al Ain between November 1st to 5th from 8am until 5pm. In association with the International Raing Federation (IRF), 25 countries from around the world will compete in their age-appropriate categories – Open, Masters, U19, U23 – for both men and women. This is set to be the only raing event ever to happen in the history of the UAE and the biggest of its kind ever in the Middle East. So come and enjoy an array of entertainment, food festival, kids zone and watch 86 Teams from 25 different countries complete to be crowned World Champions! Entry is free for spectators.

Held under the auspices of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC), the championship which will to be hosted at the Al Forsan International Sports Resort gets underway on Nov.1 and will culminate on Nov.9 with shooters vying for a slice of the $50,000 up for grabs. Though it the second shotgun championship to take place in UAE, the capital which is hosting the championship for the first time will joins the ranks of regional leaders Kuwait and Kuala Lumpur. The Trap Women event will set the ball rolling on Nov.3, followed by Tap Men on the following day. The Double Trap event for Men will be held on Nov.5. The Skeet for women will take place on Nov.7 while the following day is scheduled for the Men Skeet event.

The tournament will be held from November 2 to 5, 2016, during which a field of 126 Ladies European Tour players will compete over the stunning, Gary Player-designed ocean-front course at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. This new event, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak; President of the General Women’s Union, Chief Executive Officer of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Higher Council for Motherhood and Childhood, will deliver something entirely new to Abu Dhabi Sport.

From Nabati poetry to spoken word to hip-hop, the second annual multiple-artist celebration of heritage in poetry, prose and song draws from the diverse communities of the UAE. Abu Dhabi is a city on the move. Not content with enjoying one of the world's richest oil reserves, the region has recently thrown itself into a massive programme of development. And one of the jewels in Abu Dhabi's crown is the new 5.55kilometre Yas Marina Circuit, which on November 1, 2009, hosted the country's inaugural Grand Prix. It was also the first F1 twighlight race, with powerful lighting ensuring a seamless transition from day to night.

Located on the spectacular Yas Island, the track is set to revolutionise the design of future Formula One circuits. Boasting top speeds of 320 km/h and average speeds of 195 km/h, it features nine right turns and 12 le turns and is one of the few venues on the calendar to run in an anti-clockwise direction.
Designed by renowned circuit architect Hermann Tilke, Yas Marina has a waterfront seing scenic enough to rival the likes of Monaco and Valencia. And with the track wrapping itself around the island's glamorous newly-built marina, there's plenty of mooring space for the paddock's plethora of yachts. Its distinctive design also boasts several innovative elements including the iconic five-star, 499-room Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi hotel, which straddles the circuit; the 60-metre solar powered Sun Tower, which offers unrivalled views for invited guests; and a pit lane which sees the cars exit via a tunnel passing under the track.

Another world ďŹ rst is that all of the grandstands, including the massive hairpin seating area, are covered to protect spectators from the desert sun, whilst the state-of-the-art pit building boasts 40 air-conditioned garages. Luxuriant comforts and ďŹ rst-rate views are clearly the watchwords for Abu Dhabi race goers.
The track itself was designed with racing in mind. As well as the waterside marina area, there are high-speed sections (including the longest straight on the F1 calendar), tight corners for overtaking, and even a twisty street circuit-style sector. Overall, its diverse elements come together to create one of the longest and most demanding tracks in the world, where close and competitive racing is guaranteed.

Why go? It’s hard to find a more spectacular seing for a Grand Prix than Yas Island, on the eastern side of Abu Dhabi. It’s home to numerous 5-star hotels and the Ferrari Theme Park, and the 5.55kilometre (3.45-mile) Yas Marina Circuit is a suitably glamorous addition to the FIA Formula One World Championship. The track has many unique touches. It runs alongside the island’s spectacular marina; it passes under the new 5-star Yas Viceroy hotel and alongside a new 60-metre sun tower. The exit of the pit lane even crosses under the circuit.

“It's a very impressive facility and the track layout is fun, so it's a great place," says Williams driver Felipe Massa. "With Ferrari World just around the corner, the race has a strong Ferrari flavour." Away from Yas Island, Abu Dhabi has lots to offer. It’s the largest and wealthiest of the seven United Arab Emirates, with a crude oil supply that isn’t expected to run out until the 22nd century. Where to go? Abu Dhabi has a very cosmopolitan feel and there is something for everyone. There’s an eclectic mix of international cuisine to suit all budgets, starting at the Emirates Palace (for a time the world’s most expensive hotel) down to the cafe culture that prevails throughout the Middle East. For traditional Abu Dhabi cuisine, head to the area surrounding the fish market in Abu Dhabi city. There are plenty of other tourist aractions. If you want local culture, why not head to the camel market in Al Ain or the Abu Dhabi falcon hospital. And, of course, there is the aforementioned Ferrari Theme Park, covering 250,000 square metres and featuring a G-Force Tower, driving schools for children and adults, high-tech theatres and lots of cars on display.
From 2012 there'll be even more of an international flavour in Abu Dhabi, with the opening of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first Louvre museum outside France. Where to stay? All the best hotel chains are in Abu Dhabi - and many of them on Yas Island - so you can expect to be looked aer wherever you go. Most of the F1 luminaries stay in the 5-star Yas Viceroy hotel, which is just a short walk from the F1 paddock. But for those looking for more modest surroundings, there are cheaper options available in Abu Dhabi city.

Extended stay Once you’ve checked out Abu Dhabi city, why not head out into the Rub Al Khali desert, which is known locally as 'The Empty Quarter'. Only a short distance from the city limits, you’ll find yourself surrounded by sand dunes. The town of Al Ain is another popular tourist destination. It’s regarded as the spiritual heart of Abu Dhabi, having been built on seven oases and inhabited for more than 3,000 years. It’s on the Tentative List of World Heritage Sites of UNESCO.
Enthusiasts only There’s plenty to see at Yas Marina Circuit, aside from watching Formula One cars. ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX AFTER-RACE CONCERT Rihanna, Lionel Ritchie and the Chemical Brothers will perform at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix later this year. The two acts will be part of the Yasalam Aer-Race Concerts at Yas Island’s du Arena during the Formula One weekend. Rihanna, currently riding high on the charts with top-selling album Anti and the chart-topping single Work, is playing the prestigious final raceday concert on Sunday, November 27. The Barbadian pop star was in 2015 named as the best-selling digital singles artist of all-time, clocking sales of more than 100 million. The show marks the 28-year-old’s third performance in the capital. She made her UAE concert debut in 2009 before returning in 2013 with her Diamonds World Tour at du Arena. The Chemical Brothers will perform on Friday November 25. Formed in 1989, the veteran duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons are considered forefathers of the 1990s big beat movement in dance music, with seminal singles including Hey Boy Hey Girl, Block Rockin’ Beats and Seing Sun. Following a five-year hiatus, the 2015 release Born in the Echoes was viewed by many fans as a return to form. November’s gig will mark their first appearance in the UAE.

A real coup, however, is the booking of soul star, Lionel Ritchie, to perform on the Saturday night. The concert will mark a return for the 67-year-old,
whose last UAE performance was at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre in 2014. "I am so thrilled to be performing all the hits at the 2016 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yasalam Aer Race concert on Saturday," Richie said via video link. "You will see me performing live at the biggest sporting event in the Middle East. Along with the Chemical Borthers and Rihanna, this is gearing up to be one of the most incredible weekends ever. We are going to have a party all night long." "It’s going to be a giant singalong," said Flash Entertainment chief executive John Lickrish. "He is a fantastic performer. Anyone can go to his show and everyone will know the songs and have a good time." Another fresh incentive is that all weekend-ticket holders will receive free entry to nearby Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld, announced Karim El Guanaini, senior vice president of destination management at Yas Island. The Yasalam Aer-Race Concerts are only open to race-day ticket holders. Since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix debut in 2009, the series has aracted some of the biggest names in music. The 2016 bill marks a departure from recent trends.

FORMULA YAS 3000 Put yourself in the shoes of a professional racing driver revving a 3000cc V6 engine. This raceworthy engine was developed specifically for the circuit by high performance Formula 1® engineer Cosworth. Get a grasp of the inner workings of this racing car and experience truly sensational performance firsthand. You’ll be in charge of the paddle shiers which help shi the gear box up and down. Two onboard video cameras will capture your drive and allow you to re-live the action later on. Don’t just take our word for it. Watch Formula Yas 3000 in action. WHAT TO EXPECT Before geing into the driver’s seat of this vehicle, you’ll be suited up in full race gear and helmet, followed by a technical briefing from your racing coach. Next, you will take familiarization laps around the circuit in a Renault vehicle. During these slow laps, your coach will explain the racing line and how to approach each corner.
At this point you should be ready for the real action. You will be taken back to the pits, where you’ll be further briefed on your car before being tightly strapped in. Prepare to feel every bump, ripple and sensation of your drive – you've never been this connected to a driving machine! For this experience, five cars are scheduled per session. Your instructor will lead the way on pace laps along the circuit. With wings and slick tyres, this car gives razor-sharp responses. Remember to relax behind the wheel, as even the slightest driver input delivers a noticeable direction change. Over the course of your driving session, the challenge is to improve your racing technique. At the end of your session your instructor will provide you with some detailed feedback and discuss how you might improve your technique. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is set to welcome thrill seekers from around the world onboard its record breaking roller coaster Flying Aces. The first of many surprises to be unveiled as part of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s expansion, Flying Aces, is set to take guests to speeds up to 120kmph along a 1.5km track featuring a 52 meter (170) tall loop and a 51 degree steep li. The architectural masterpiece will offer extreme gravity defying flight acrobatics that include a non-inverted loop, down flips and plenty of airtime.

Due to its exceptional thrill features and strong connection to Ferrari’s heritage, the first plane themed coaster is also the first of five major rides & aractions to be launched as part of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s massive expansion. Already home to the world’s fastest roller coaster ‘Formula Rossa’, the bi-plane themed coaster represents the latest addition to the Park’s offering. Flying Aces brings to life the story behind Ferrari’s Cavallino logo, inspired by Italy’s ‘ace of aces’ Count Francesco Baracca. Count Baracca was a famous Italian aviator in the 1900’s and his legendary Prancing Horse emblem was inherited by Enzo Ferrari for good luck.
In 2014, the Park revealed to the world its extraordinary expansion plans that will add more rides and aractions to appeal to guests of all ages. The innovative offerings are expected to increase the Park’s overall capacity by 40 percent, reduce waiting time and enhancing the overall guest’s experience. It all started in 1931 when a long-sought dream became reality and Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. opened the doors of Harry’s Bar. In a discreet stone building perched along a canal just off Piazza San Marco in Venice, he created a timeless and impeccably appointed establishment. His concept was to serve others as you would want to be served yourself. His vision of simple luxury came to touch the souls of people all over the world. At Harry’s Bar in Venice, all clients are treated like royalty. Simple elements such as true service and devotion have elevated Harry’s to legendary status. Nonetheless, it became a popular destination for royalty, dignitaries and celebrities. It was featured in international media and very quickly word of its impeccable quality and service spread around the world. Many years later, the son of Giuseppe Sr., Arrigo Cipriani, opened his first restaurant across the ocean, in New York. The location was perfect, with two big windows that opened towards Central Park, dividing Manhaan in two.According to Arrigo, he was excited to show people around the world who had copied the Cipriani name, that names are not what counts. What you have to copy is what is inside. And with the same spirit and passion of his father, in 1985 Arrigo opened Harry Cipriani on 5th Avenue and started the legacy of what has become one of the most recognizable hospitality groups in the world.

THE FOOD The concept of the food at Cipriani is easy. Simple Italian food done to perfection. Our chefs come from all over Italy and no maer where they are from, they all use a combination of local ingredients and products imported directly from Italy; everything is made fresh in the kitchen every day including our pastas and famous desserts. The restaurant menu consists of some of our traditional, signature dishes from Harry’s Bar in Venice, like the famous baked tagliolini, risoo Primavera, carpaccio alla Cipriani, invented by Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. in Venice in 1950, calves liver alla Veneziana, vanilla crème meringue and many others with an addition of items that change daily. For groups, special events, and parties, we have several set menus available to choose from. They range in price to suit the budget of the event and we also have a drink package including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

THE BELLINI LOUNGE Just as the original Harry’s Bar in Venice, the bar at Cipriani Yas Island, called the Bellini lounge, greets you as you enter the restaurant. Guests typically enjoy their first drink with the signature Bellini, a perfect combination of fresh white peach puree and Prosecco, invented by Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. at Harry’s Bar in 1948. For events and special occasions there is a place for a DJ and curtains that can close off the area for private functions. Additionally, this is the location of the Yoo Sushi bar, serving the best sections of the fish for sushi, sashimi and tempura. The Bellini Lounge is a great place for cocktail receptions, and small events.
THE HARRY CIPRIANI ROOM The Harry Cipriani Room is a private dining area with its own kitchen and bar. It has approximately a 60 person seating capacity and tables can be arranged in any configuration including a single banquet table or groups of tables. It also has panoramic views of the Yas Marina and Yas Marina Circuit race track. THE CROWN PRINCE ROOM The Crown Prince Room is a fun place for the boys. It is a great private space for enjoying a cigar or reading one of the many books from the library.
It can also be used for intimate private events, comfortably seating around 20 people. It is said to be one of the personal favorites of one of the many royal dignitaries who visit Cipriani Yas Island, thus earning its royal name in homage to our honored guests. THE VENETIAN ROOM The Venetian Room is a special sectioned area of the restaurant. Sliding wood and glass doors partition the room from the main part of the restaurant. It seats around 60 people and can be made into any dining configuration. It is a great space for parties, and corporate events or presentations. The exterior glass doors can also be opened to give full exposure and private access to the Terrace. THE TERRACE The Terrace at Cipriani Yas Island is romantic and majestic. It overlooks the entire Yas Marina with its magnificent yachts and the Yas Marina Circuit. Being perched over the marina water amid the night sky combined with the Cipriani atmosphere, guests oen find themselves swept away by this section of the restaurant. Yas Waterworld visitors will be able to try the world’s first and largest hydromagnetic-powered, six-person tornado waterslide - it's over 235 metres long! For adrenaline seekers there are three-metre high waves on Bubble’s Barrel, which has the world’s largest surfable sheet wave for flowboards and bodyboards. The Bandit Bomber, a 550–metre coaster, is the first with onboard water and laser effects. Riders can shoot jets of
water at targets, drop water bombs and trigger special effects, while people below can spray them with water as they pass. Siing atop Jebel Dana, the towering core of the park’s altitude-defying summit and measuring eight metres in diameter, the park’s gigantic pearl is Yas Island’s newest landmark.
