Top tips on delivering GSAT virtually For the NSO: -
Consider the time zones of the NSO while setting meetings You need to get the right contact in the NSO who’ll lead the process Consider the language and if you’d need translation and interpretation services in advance You need more time for the preparation and also to carry out the assessment. You have to note the online fatigue that may come with it for both you and the NSO. Please ensure that you have a stable internet connection and advise the NSO being assessed to ensure they too have a reliable connection.

Remember the process, resources and roles remain the same with the face to face assessment with only an addition of evidence documentation process Prepare in advance each meeting you have with the NSO in order to provide quality information Be flexible considering that the process will be longer than a face to face assessment Keep in mind that GSAT is one of the WOSM services and therefore you need to record/update the process on the WOSM platform. Take note of the virtual working methods and collaborative tools used especially the smart sheet that will be the tool used to key in the evidence and score the NSO. Always refer to the Facilitators or Assessors Guidelines, tools and templates provided by WOSM throughout the process.

Have a keen eye on the authenticity of documents shared (dates published, editions, whether they are approved by relevant bodies) Ensure confidentiality of documents shared by NSOs and use the Smartsheets document repository provided by your Regional Support Centre
