At times, our Scout service presents us with a new and difficult challenges. In some cases, you may find yourself called upon to support young people at a time when the word “war” is heard often.
Whether seeing or hearing about parts of a conflict or war on Instagram or following a comprehensive news report on a reputable channel, young people may be seeing things that bring uncertainty or fear into their lives. As a result, they may have questions and anxieties that need to be addressed.
This guide, prepared by the Junák - Scouts of Czechia, has been translated and adapted, with their permission, to give guidance to NSOs and all adults on speaking about war with children.
