353 jóvenes participantes de entre 15 y 21 años de Scouts Ecuador se reunieron en persona en Machachi, Ecuador, del 18 al 19 de marzo para asistir al Foro Nacional de Jóvenes, el más grande en la historia del país.

El Foro de Jóvenes tiene como objetivo involucrar a los jóvenes a nivel nacional en los procesos de toma de decisiones. También busca llevar a los jóvenes a reflexionar sobre su responsabilidad como personas, fortalecer sus habilidades y conocimientos, y adquirir habilidades de liderazgo y resolución de conflictos bajo el marco motivacional “Voces que trascienden”.

353 young participants between 15 and 21 years from Scouts Ecuador met in person in Machachi, Ecuador, from March 18th to 19th to attend the National Youth Forum marking the largest ever in the country’s history.

The youth forum aims to involve young people at the national level in decision-making processes. It also seeks to bring young people to reflect on their responsibility as individuals, strengthen their skills and knowledge, and acquire leadership and conflict resolution skills under the motivational frame “Voices that transcend” (“Voces que trascienden” in Spanish).

Además, el evento tiene el gran objetivo de desarrollar una declaración que exprese las voces de la juventud en el Ecuador y finalmente elegir a sus representantes juveniles para el Consejo Nacional.

La versión final de la declaración fue aprobada por unanimidad por el Foro. Destaca temas como la Diversidad e Inclusión, la Salud y el Bienestar, la Participación Juvenil, el Medio Ambiente, A salvo del Peligro y otros.

Con la declaratoria del Foro Nacional, que expresa el sentir de los jóvenes, las áreas estratégicas y los órganos de gobierno están llamados a considerar las necesidades e intereses de la juventud a la hora de tomar decisiones y planificar el futuro.

In addition, the event has the big goal of developing a Declaration that expresses the voices of the youth in Ecuador and finally elect their youth representatives to the National Board.

The final version of the declaration was approved unanimously by the Forum. It highlights topics such as diversity and inclusion, health and well-being, youth engagement, environment, safe from harm and others.

With the declaration of the National Forum, which expresses the feelings of young people, the strategic areas and government bodies are called to consider the needs and interests of youth when making decisions and planning for the future.

El Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje es una manera de pensar acerca de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje que ayuda a que todas personas tengan la misma oportunidad de ser exitosos. Su objetivo es lograr una inclusión efectiva, minimizando así las barreras físicas, sensoriales, cognitivas y culturales que pudieran existir en el proceso. De manera que favorece la igualdad de oportunidades en el acceso a la educación.

En este sentido desde la Dirección de Recurso Adulto de Guías y Scouts de Costa Rica, se pensó en la necesidad de incorporar una experiencia totalmente práctica en la que se capacitara a la dirigencia activa de todas las secciones, con miras a brindar un programa educativo inclusivo y de calidad para todas las personas miembros de la organización, de manera que se les dé la oportunidad de vivir plenamente el Movimiento Guía y Scout.

Se conformó así un equipo interdisciplinario de formadores especialistas en el área, que han venido trabajando en diferentes procesos formativos, en las modalidades presencial y virtual con diferentes temáticas asociadas a este tema y enfocados a las prioridades estratégicas de la Región Scout Interamericana.

La parte presencial arrancó con el primer Curso Nacional sobre Diversidad e Inclusión, realizado del 2 al 4 de junio, en el Campo Escuela Nacional Iztarú, con participación de dirigencia de diferentes partes del país.

Los conocimientos que se adquieren en esta jornada de aprendizaje están enfocados en contenidos que permitan a la persona cursante la adquisición de conocimientos, habilidades y técnicas inclusivas aplicadas al Método.

La actividad ha recibido muy buena aceptación de la comunidad Guía y Scout en Costa Rica, consciente de que las sociedades cambian y que como Movimiento debemos actualizarnos constantemente.

Universal Design for Learning is a way of thinking about teaching and learning that helps everyone have an equal opportunity to succeed. Its objective is to achieve effective inclusion, thus minimizing physical, sensory, cognitive and cultural barriers that may exist in the process. Thus, it favors equal opportunities in access to education.

In this sense, from the Department of Adult Resources for Guides and Scouts of Costa Rica, it was thought of the need to incorporate a totally practical experience in which the active leadership of all sections would be trained, with a view to providing an inclusive and quality educational program for all members of the organization, so that they are given the opportunity to fully live the Guide and Scout Movement.

Thus, an interdisciplinary team of specialist trainers in the area was formed, who have been working on different training processes, in face-to-face and virtual modalities with different themes associated with this topic and focused on the strategic priorities of the Interamerican Scout Region.

The face-to-face part began with the first National Course on Diversity and Inclusion, held from June 2 to 4, at the Campo Escuela Nacional Iztarú, with the participation of leaders from different parts of the country.

The knowledge acquired in this learning journey is focused on content that allows the participants to acquire inclusive knowledge, skills and techniques applied to the Method.

The activity has received very good acceptance from the Guide and Scout community in Costa Rica, aware that societies change and that as a Movement we must constantly update ourselves.

Un espacio de interconexión para jóvenes de la Región Scout Interamericana

A space for interconnection for young people from the Interamerican Scout Region

La Red Interamericana de Jóvenes es un espacio de interacción permanente entre Jóvenes de los países que conforman la Región Interamericana. En ella se promueve el diálogo y la participación juvenil con el propósito de contribuir al fortalecimiento de las capacidades de la juventud, intercambio de conocimientos, comunicación, desarrollo de experiencias, la realización de acciones individuales y en red conscientes de los desafíos que trae la transformación de las realidades de las comunidades.

La Red Regional de Jóvenes realizó su reunión anual del 26 al 28 de mayo de manera virtual. Representantes de 19 Organizaciones Scouts Nacionales hicieron parte de este encuentro que buscó generar un espacio de intercambio para identificar y establecer acciones colaborativas para incrementar el desempeño de los equipos nacionales y de las redes nacionales, compartir experiencias exitosas de las Organizaciones Scouts Nacionales y elegir a su nuevo equipo de coordinación.

La agenda de la reunión incluyó momentos para compartir el reporte de acciones realizadas por la coordinación de la red del período 2018 a 2023, una sesión compartida con la Red Interamericana de Comunicaciones para reflexionar sobre la importancia incorporar herramientas tecnológicas a las prácticas de comunicación del Movimiento Scout y finalmente una sesión para reflexionar sobre la situación actual de la red e identificar acciones inmediatas que sus miembros pueden tomar para enfrentar desafíos recurrentes.

The Interamerican Youth Network is a space for permanent interaction between youth from the countries that comprise the Interamerican Region. It promotes dialogue and youth participation to strengthen youth capacities, exchange of knowledge, communication, development of experiences, carrying out individual and network actions, aware of the challenges that transformation brings of the realities of the communities.

The Regional Youth Network held its annual meeting from May 26 to 28 virtually. Representatives of 19 National Scout Organizations were part of this meeting that sought to create a space for exchange to identify and establish collaborative actions to increase the performance of national teams and national networks, share successful experiences of National Scout Organizations, and elect their new coordination team.

The agenda of the meeting included moments to share the report of actions carried out by the coordination of the network from 2018 to 2023, a shared session with the Interamerican Communications Network to reflect on the importance of incorporating technological tools into the communication practices of the Scout Movement and finally a session to reflect on the current situation of the network and identify immediate actions that its members can take to face recurring challenges.

Durante la reunión, los representantes de las Organizaciones Scouts Nacionales participaron de la elección de los coordinadores de esta red interamericana que por primera vez se realizó en este espacio y de forma virtual.

Finalmente la Red Interamericana de Jóvenes eligió a Larissa Oliveira de 25 años (Brasil) y Oliver García de 24 años (República Dominicana) como sus coordinadores para el siguiente período.

Los coordinadores electos tienen dentro de sus responsabilidades el asegurar una comunicación constante entre la juventud a nivel local, nacional y/o regional y deberán diseñar y desarrollar un plan de trabajo que contribuya al fortalecimiento de plataformas de Participación Juvenil en la Región Interamericana. Larissa y Oliver durante sus palabras de bienvenida aseguraron que trabajarán en equipo para asegurar la proyección de la red en todos los paises de la región y establecer alianzas externas que contribuyan al fortalecimiento de la institución.

El evento estuvo bien organizado y ofreció valiosas oportunidades para la creación de redes, el intercambio de conocimientos y el desarrollo de capacidades. Salí de la reunión sintiéndome inspirado, equipado con nuevos conocimientos y motivado para contribuir a la Red de Jóvenes Scouts en mi país.”

“It was an enriching experience where I learned and shared my experience as a young person and scout. I met with friends and met many more. We worked together and committed to several fundamental axes for the youth networks and the Region. In addition, each one was able to share and take tools to their organizations to continue building and growing in pursuit of our networks and our youth.”

“Overall, the Regional Networking Meeting exceeded my expectations. The event was well organized and offered valuable opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and capacity building. I left the meeting feeling inspired, equipped with new knowledge, and motivated to contribute to the Youth Scout Network in my country.”

During the meeting, the representatives of the National Scout Organizations participated in the election of the coordinators of the interamerican network, which was held for the first time in this space and virtually. Finally, its members chose Larissa Oliveira, 25 (Brazil), and Oliver García, 24 (Dominican Republic), as its coordinators for the following period.

The elected coordinators are responsible for ensuring constant communication between youth at the local, national, and/or regional levels. They must design and develop a work plan that contributes to strengthening Youth Involvement platforms in the Interamerican Region. During their welcome remarks, Larissa and Oliver assured that they would work as a team to ensure the network’s projection in all the region’s countries and establish external alliances that contribute to strengthening the institution.

Jóvenes menores de 30 años electos al Consejo Directivo Nacional

en Scouts Dominicanos Youth under 30 years old elected to the National Board at Dominican Scouts

Los Scouts Dominicanos realizaron su 69º Asamblea Nacional Ordinaria en la que escogieron a Joan Monegro como nuevo Presidente del Consejo Directivo Nacional por el período 2023-2024, convirtiéndose este en uno de los presidentes más jóvenes en ser electo, con solo 26 años.

Scouts Dominicanos held their 69th Ordinary National Assembly in which they chose Joan Monegro as the new Chairperson of the National Board of Directors for the period 2023-2024, making him one of the youngest chairpersons to be elected, with only 26 years old.

Tras tomar juramento, Monegro hizo un llamado a todos los miembros scouts para que se unan y así trabajar por el crecimiento de la institución, para lo cual dijo, que la fuerza y la energía de las nuevas generaciones unida a la experiencia y el conocimiento de las pasadas, sirvan como mezcla perfecta para lograr un desarrollo y crecimiento del Movimiento Scout de manera sostenida y garantizada.

El Consejo Directivo Nacional, el máximo órgano de dirección de los Scouts Dominicanos, está conformado por nueve miembros titulares y dos Asesores Juveniles. Este órgano normalmente renueva cada año tres de sus miembros titulares. En esta ocasión se eligieron cuatro nuevos miembros, con lo cual el Consejo Directivo Nacional cuenta actualmente con 4 miembros menores de 30 años.

After taking the oath, Monegro called on all scout members to unite and thus work for the growth of the institution, for which he said that the strength and energy of the new generations together with the experience and knowledge of the past, serve as the perfect mix to achieve a sustained and guaranteed development and growth of Scouting.

The National Board of Directors, the highest management body of the Dominican Scouts, is made up of nine regular members and two Youth Advisors. This body normally renews three of its titular members every year. On this occasion, four new members were elected, with which the National Board of Directors currently has 4 members under 30 years of age.

IV Moot Nacional

El VI Moot Nacional está dirigido a jóvenes desde los 18 años hasta los 22 años, 11 meses y 29 días debidamente registrados en la Asociación de Scouts del Perú para el 2023. Teniendo como objetivo crear espacios de encuentro y descubrimiento de los valores de vivir en armonía y cuidado del medio ambiente, contribuyendo así al desarrollo integral de jóvenes.

El desarrollo del programa será con base en establecer la importancia a la biodiversidad peruana y de cómo la alteración de ésta está afectando a todos y sobre todo a aquellos que viven de ella.

El VI Moot Nacional se realizará en la ciudad de Pucallpa, en la selva peruana del 28 de diciembre del 2023 al 3 de enero del 2024.

IV National Moot

The VI National Moot is aimed at young people from 18 years to 22 years, 11 months and 29 days duly registered for 2023 at Asociación de Scouts del Peru. With the objective of creating spaces for meeting and discovering the values of living in harmony and care for the environment, thus contributing to the integral development of young people.

The development of the program will be based on establishing the importance of Peruvian biodiversity and how its alteration is affecting everyone and especially those who live from it.

The VI National Moot will be held in the city of Pucallpa, in the peruvian jungle from December 28, 2023 to January 3, 2024.

Las Manadas de todo el Perú se preparan para el próximo Acantonamiento Nacional - VI CUSY TUPAY a realizarse del 3 al 6 de agosto de 2023 en el Campo Escuela Lord Baden Powell –Chosica, Lima, Perú.

El mundo mágico de Calabozos y Dragones espera la visita de 400 lobatos y lobeznas para cumplir con una importante misión. Hace mucho tiempo, en un mundo lleno de magia y peligros llamado Calabozos y Dragones, existían cuatro naciones. Cada nación tenía sus propias leyes, costumbres y creencias y a menudo entraban en conflicto por el control de los recursos naturales o por desacuerdos culturales.

Un día, un grupo de aventureros de las cuatro naciones se encontraron con una antigua leyenda sobre la Estrella Carmesí, un objeto mágico que se decía tenía el poder de conceder cualquier deseo a quien lo poseyera. Emocionados por la idea de tener semejante tesoro en sus manos, decidieron embarcarse en una desafiante búsqueda para encontrarla. Pero se dieron cuenta de que no podrían solos, así que lanzaron un hechizo para traer niños y niñas de otro mundo que tengan un corazón puro, fuerza de voluntad y mucha alegría. Este hechizo caerá sobre las Manadas del Perú y así lobatos y lobeznas serán transportados a su mundo, para que con su ayuda puedan encontrar la tan ansiada Estrella Carmesí y pedir el deseo de unificar a las 4 naciones.

Con este ambiente de fantasía y personajes diseñados exclusivamente para esta nueva aventura, la diversión está asegurada. Para esta ocasión especial la Comisión Nacional de la Rama Lobato de Scouts del Perú ha preparado este evento nacional con actividades lúdicas, talleres, rally, noche de talentos, actividades de servicio, fiesta temática, Flor Roja y mucho más.

VI Cusy Tupay

The Cub Packs from all over Peru are preparing for the next National Camp - VI CUSY TUPAY to be held from August 3 to 6, 2023 at the Training Camp Lord Baden Powell – Chosica, Lima, Peru.

The magical world of Dungeons and Dragons awaits the visit of 400 cub scouts to fulfill an important mission. A long time ago, in a world full of magic and dangers called Dungeons and Dragons, there were four nations. Each nation had its own laws, customs, and beliefs, and they often conflicted over control of natural resources or cultural disagreements.

One day, a group of adventurers from the four nations came across an ancient legend about the Crimson Star, a magical item that was said to have the power to grant any wish to whoever possessed it. Excited by the idea of having such a treasure in their hands, they decided to embark on a challenging quest to find it. But they realized that they couldn’t do it alone, so they cast a spell to bring boys and girls from another world who have a pure heart, strong will and lots of joy. This spell will fall on the Cub Packs of Peru and cub scouts will be transported to their world, so with their help they can find the long-awaited Crimson Star and make the wish to unify the 4 nations.

With this fantasy environment and characters designed exclusively for this new adventure, fun is guaranteed. For this special occasion, the National Commission of the Cub Branch of Scouts of Peru has prepared this national event with recreational activities, workshops, rally, talent night, service activities, theme party, Red Flower and much more.
