Creating a better world
Refugees and Migrants in Europe
Scouts groups in 18 countries are supporting the refugees and migrants by welcoming the families, distributing basic items and organizing activities for children. They work together with the local communities to ensure an open and inclusive environment. 39 NSO/NSA attended the Refugee Response Seminar (November 2015) to identify specific needs, share best practices and define how to face challenges.
To achieve its mission, three World Scout Programmes were introduced:
World Scout Environment Programme
The World Scout Environment Programme provides support for Scouts to engage in environmental education activities, to learn about nature and the environment, and to make informed choices about the environment, people and society — choices that reflect the Scout Promise and Law.

Scouts of the World Award
The Scouts of the World Award challenges all young people (Scouts and non-Scouts), aged 15-26, to reflect on global issues and act on them at local level. It is the only award for youths provided by World Scouting, and is a key contribution of World Scouting to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.
Since 2012, Scouts have contributed more than 675 000 000 service hours to over six million local community service projects around the world.
