This summer, you can take a walk through history and visit the most iconic sites in Washington D.C. while the students take a trial run of life as a veterinarian and spends two days exploring Smithsonian’s National Zoo. You and a group of fellow Family Program attendees will experience the best that D.C. has to offer.

You can look forward to:

• Exploring some of the most famous Smithsonian Institute museums along the National Mall, like the National Museum of American History or the National Museum of Natural History

• Taking a tour of Capitol Hill, including the Library of Congress, the Capitol Museum, and a guided tour of the Capitol Building

• Spending a full day exploring the grounds of George Washington’s historic home, Mount Vernon

• Visiting Smithsonian’s National Zoo and hearing an inspiring address from All-American wrestler Anthony Robles*

* Family Program participants may have students attending Junior Veterinary Medicine or the Junior National Young Leaders Conference, another WorldStrides program taking place in Washington D.C. The address from Anthony Robles is part of the Junior National Young Leaders Conference program and all Family Program attendees are invited to attend.
