Qingdao 'Liyuan' Youth Hotel Design
ZHONG SHAN ROAD
LIYUAN COMMUNITY
ZHIFU
With the city growing, Li Yuan’s area becomes the center of the city and the exotic scenery of the Qingdao coastline. However, during to the population boom, Li Yuan becomes a kind of slum, which has haotic interior and classic exterior. Solve the problems created by collisions. And Finding a reproducible model to protect the local culture and buildings, give tourisms a window to know the local populace better.

The main conception is "collision". This conception is presented in "mirror" approach. This Hotel is different from traditional one: It is not only a private hotel for the tourists, but also a public space for the local people. The two different ideologies crash here. The collision also is reflected by new and old materials, structures, spaces, patterns, lifestyles and environments.

Floor 1 :Public Area It shows us materials (bricks, stones, woods, concrete, triangle) and patterns (semicircle and other folk patterns) which are abstracted from local culture. These elements will be used in the design after being deconstructed.

The walls in the public area are reconstructed by bricks making vivid textures and surface. Beams going through the gaps between the bricks will throw their shadows indoor and outdoor. And these shadows will be changing with time. In the restaurants, tables and screens are made of original-old windows.

DESHENGMEN WAI STREET
With the online shopping soaring rapidly in China, less and less Chinese go to the hypostatic shop. In this condition, the function of hypostatic stores has changed silently. Rather than a place to sell goods, a shop is a brand show, learning and communication space. Customers can experience the brand deeply and be loyal to the brand.

The project inspired from the process of image formation. The inner route simulates a process of reaction and finally produces a result. Just like an image, goes through the lens, sensor, and eventually becomes a photo.

-Emotion & Atmosphere The exhibition of this gallery is about some paintings painted by myself before. Its theme shows around atmosphere and paintings themselves. Through abstracting and including different periods’ moods, I get three main mood colors. The moods are lights in the brain. The three primary colors of light are red, blue and green. Through controlling the proportions of the three colors, the lights can reflect a person's emotional performance. The space is segmented by a twisted, infinite loop-path which seems to be plane. However, by some irresistible force, the loop-path becomes a three-dimensional spacea full path of emotional elements, being broken up in the halfway and becoming a spot of emotion.

Mozambique Confucius Institute Design Teamwork: team leader & main designer
This design is following the accordance of building-environment overall design, through some column space orders to express the Confucius teaching world-the spirit of teaching all the people and his moral rules.
RESIDENTIAL ZONES
The building’s form is combined with a soaring seagull and the shape of the construction site. Besides observing from the east side, the building likes a ship slowly cruising to the ocean. Materials, colors and patterns come from locial life. It is showing the spirit of Confucius and it is a way to show our respect to the local culture.

PROJECT 5
Dragon Lake Landscape Plan and Design Teamwork: team leader & main designer The project, Dragon Lake Park, is located in Anci district, Langfang city, Hebei province. It is the core part of the new high-tech development zone. It will elevate the life quality and promote the entertainment of this district. The Dragon Lake can contain and collect the rainfall of this zone, and then purify the water through the wet lands’ self-clean system. The main theme is ‘dragon’ which absorbed from the local culture. The shape and form of the two rivers depict a metaphor of a pattern of two twisted dragons, and their parts are equivalent to the special parts of the dragon independently. Elements such as architecture, natural landscape, and sculptures are designed around the theme of ‘dragon’. Plant of this park include aquatic plants, shrubs, flowers, coniferous trees and deciduous trees, all of these plants are native plants of Hebei province. They are designed and planted in order to make the park have a wide variety of scenery all the year round. What’s more, the original forest is protected by cautious designing the direction and shape of the water which makes the park can get a better natural landscape at the beginning.
