Be Thankful You Don’t Have to Pay Your Parents’ Interest Rate 2017 was supposed to be the year the housing market saw interest rates creep back up to 5%. However, according to Freddie Mac, the average interest rate on a 30 year fixed mortgage in June 2017 was 3.9%. That is their lowest mark this year.

Q: What is your most valuable real estate advice? A: My most valuable real estate advice is: Be fully honest with your Realtor. Communication is key. The more I can learn about a clients current situation, goals for the future, likes and dislikes, the better I can do my job. Lay it all out there for your Realtor and, in the right hands, things go a lot smoother!
