“After tears there is laughter and just like that, you transition from test to TESTimony.” These were the words the Holy Spirit ministered to me that formed the basis of this issue. These words have strengthened me for I know so many of God’s children have sown in tears, but we are about return with praises and joy. The year 2010 has been herald as year of testimony. God is about to supernaturally manifest His glory in your life to be a witness to others of His might, power, and ability, but do you understand what that means? We have left our wilderness and crossed the Jordan. And, we are entering a season of war (Ecc. 3). Did you get that, it said of, all before it was a time to do, on our part, which required our strength mixed with God’s supernatural ability. But we are entering a time when God has ordained for Him to show Himself strong on our behalf. for the Lord has gone before you and caused your enemies to flee from you. Your only requirement is to equip yourself and go out, move in obedience and faith, but the Lord has gone before you and caused your enemies to flee in your presence. Yes, so let God arise and His enemies be scattered. I pray these words would reconfirm your strength and trust in the Lord once more to believe beyond what it appears and to continue to walk in faith. 5 “The desire to serve God is not a desire that comes without a cost, but the Bible says it is also a desire that is not without rewards.” Dr. Carolyn‟s opening was perfect as her soothing voice invited listeners to draw close to hear of an awesome testimony that God‟s might wrought in the life of one His faithful servants. In this interview, Dr. Carolyn spoke with Lisa Ojesina about the cost and rewards of serving God. Mrs. Ojesina is the founder of a faith based mentoring program called The King‟s Treasure, whose mission is to empower and equip the next generation of leaders. Lisa travels and speaks to women all over the world helping them realize their strengths in order to take charge of their destiny. Her greatest joy and her commitment is to God and her family. She is a servant, a motivator, a teacher, a lover of God, and of his greatest creation: His people. In 1997, Lisa had proved her faith in God when called by God to walk away from a lucrative salary with annual bonuses and fabulous trips and vacations. It was a very comfortable living that would have left others desiring to be in her shoes and content with their achieved position in life, but not Lisa. When asked why? Her response was very candid „the Lord is calling me to go and work for Him…no money involved at all, just a promise and faith in God to follow Him.‟ Her contentment was found in living for and in God, so she left her comfortable position to live out loud and on purpose for God, which she had always done, but now in a greater capacity. He called her to go be and bring light and love to a dark place. An area of H-town facing financial despair and hopelessness: teenage pregnancy, drugs, police swarming, gunshots ringing out. Yes, God had indeed took her out of her comfort zone to a scene so completely opposite of her life growing up in a little town in Arkansas. This was a place with crime and no vision beyond daily surviving. She was called to a remnant of God‟s own heart in a group of young children who needed to see the Sun of Salvation shine down on them and offer them hope beyond their current circumstances. And this task, He had entrusted to Lisa. God‟s eyes had ranged to and fro looking for those He could show Himself strong on their behalf. His gaze eventually rested on Lisa Ojesina and the young children who were always destined to be connected to her…with one purpose in mind “To Break the Back of poverty on every child connected to her.”

6 Now, Lisa may not have known the magnitude of the vision fully when starting out over six years earlier. And she may not have “felt” this when coming to the end of six years and asked by her husband to return to workforce in order to help undergird the cost of their daughter‟s college tuition. But faith is not about a feeling or knowing…it is the evidence all by itself and speaks far more loudly than those temporal things t hat we see and feel. It was faith that caused God to supernaturally supply a funnel of money on the feeder road of a Houston highway. That day, Lisa was driving talking with God about how He promised to supply all their needs. Suddenly money flew onto her windshield. A funnel of money literally in the middle of the street: first $1, then there were $20, $50, and so on. She was not alone for others saw and were quickly gathering the money as it blew into air. But in the midst of that type of frenzy she is still able to hear the voice of God, as He told her not to pick up another bill, but rather return to her car. So, she stopped and returned to her car and as she reached the car, she heard the Lord say, “Your treasure is in the car.” This one statement revolutionized the way she viewed money from then on for God confirmed He will always make a way. She sowed that miraculous seed into the Kingdom of God…a perfect Word of Wisdom “Don‟t wait until everything setup for instruction from God that is perfect to start, just get prepared her for another place in going, and as you go God will ministry that eventually led to make the way God said GO!” God‟s miraculous show of power in September 2009.
“This is bigger than you and you cannot do it on your own…Deut 8, “I caused you to lack for a season and for a purpose.” Not just for you but for the word of your testimony. Drought does not mean God did not call you to something, but it is for purpose…KEEP GOING! Don‟t stop moving take that step in obedience. Straightway and immediately go.”
“God is calling us to plant, the miracle of the growth is His job.”
Lisa began to faithfully serve the few children that would come to listen early on in the ministry, enticing them with love, the word, brightly colored balloons, and hard-as nail cookies. A few kids would come out each day she was there, only a handful, until one day, led by a young angel of the Lord who “God needs someone to be began to recruit children for her. willing and able to In the beginning each child abandon their knowledge believed, but the appearance for His knowledge.“ of the current circumstances and funding for the deceiving for looking for from
limited ministry were young children the overnight difference their current reality, that so many search for when first coming to God. It was like Lisa was just selling a pipe dream with no substance, and some soon walked away. But God always left her a remnant of children that would not leave.
Years later, their daughter preparing to attend college, the reality is that the single income of her husband could not sustain their lifestyle and expense of four-year university. Lisa was asked by her husband to return back to work to help with the added expense. Heart breaking, Lisa, like Abraham, drew close and asked God a hard question: “God is this how it ends?” Never questioning His Sovereignty, but rather confident in her relationship with the Almighty, she drew close. It is a relationship born out of commu nion, faith, trust, and total reliance on God‟s plan for her life. “Maybe I didn‟t hear God, because if it was God why had it taken so Issue I |2010 (c) All Rights Reserved www.worshipwithwrittenword.com

7 long to come to pass.” A call to her mom to talk and soon tears were flowing. “Mom, I have believed, fasted, prayed, had faith, and God has been faithful, but I‟m going back to work.” Like a mother she let her cry, but after the tears, the prophetess and woman of God in her spoke, “Lisa, I feel the Holy Spirit telling me to tell you to hold on because your breakthrough is right at the door. I believe that before the week is out God is going to show you something to turn this situation around.” Two days later, after returning from prayer, a message awaited her from the previous employer. “Lisa, I have been thinking about you and I could not get you out of my mind….what‟s going on with the community group. Could you come and talk to me about that on Tuesday?” After tears, prophetic prayers and comforting words of her mother, Lisa‟s faith in God spoke boldly in September of 2009. Unbeknownst to her, this was a meeting where God would radically answer her question that she had posed to him just a few short days before: “God is this how it ends?” The answer a resounding „NO!‟ In fact it was just beginning. She arrived to the gentleman‟s office to be greeted by a gathered set of board members for Fortune XXX companies. Top executives around table waiting to hear from Lisa. She was invited to speak candidly about the work she did with and for the kids, the pay she received for this, which was $ -0-, answered their questions. “This is the type of woman you need in your company,” was the comment from her former employer. On the spot, Lisa was offered a salary which amounted to over $1000/hour to go out and inspire people to live their best life, opportunity to work around the ministry, $xxx budget per month to do nothing but encourage and give incentive to children to stay in school and get good grades, provide trips for kids, he further joined in with others in community and created a scholarship fund which allows for children to attend the university of their choice paid in full. He hired her to travel to his various company salons nationwide don‟t take a Bible, but just take God…just go out and inspire them. Lisa was now being paid to do what she was already doing. His words to her, “Lisa, I want to break the back of poverty over everyone‟s life that is connected to you.” And just like that, six years and many tears, Lisa stepped into the manifestation Abrahamic Covenant: Blessed to be a Blessing to others. She had been there, in that place, for what seemed so long, but when God turns captivity it is as if we were dreaming. ”Within 3 weeks God turned my mourning into dancing”, says Lisa!….After tears, there is laughter and just like that you transition from test to TESTimony.

Raring to go, excited and fresh from the word spoken, you have faith and strength to start the journey. In the boat quite comfortable, surrounded by others of like-minds, you are sailing through the waters of life. Soon you hit the first major squall, which leaves many shaken, unable to move forward, and too afraid to turn back, stuck in the perfect storm that only came to perfect them. The questioning begins: what was I thinking? Desperation follows: calling for God. There He is. He appears out of the midst of the raging storm walking calmly over the turbulent waters of your life. You expect Him to quickly and authoritatively speak. “Peace Be Still”. But this time is different. This time He does not speak to the storm. Instead, He demands that you leave the safety of your confining comfort zone. He is stretching you and your trust in Him. Lord, tell me to come and I will step out. He does. Now you see yourself leaving those you thought were of like-minds. You are walking over the waters: only through your total focus on Him, His voice, and His hand. The storms of your life recede to the background and the Greatness of the One Who is, Who was, and Who is to come commands the foreground of your heart, your thoughts, and your life. Your eyes waiver for a moment and you catch a glimpse of the squall and begin to sink, BUT immediately He reaches forth His hand to save you for He is always there. You are not yet fully aware that

11 With simple words we were exhorted to worship God with our giving. And oh how my heart longed to do just that, but I was in a dry place in business. In the middle of a test, holding to my faith, only by the strength of the hand that firmly held me. “But Lord, I want to worship you also. I worship you, or better yet, I reverence you”…These were the silent words, in a private conversation between God and I even as Pastor gave the invitation to worship God through our giving. I was not seeking an extravagant amount of money to give, but only $14.57….”Lord, what is it that I have not learned yet that You do not trust me with $14.57?” I asked as a slow trickle of silent tears over-spilled my eyes and rolled down my cheek. “I have the heart of giver, but carry no seed…Why?” I quickly worked to get control of my emotions before the slow trickle soon became a wailing and travailing in the midst of the people…but even in those quiet words the Lord heard and soon thereafter answered my prayers. Even now, I am receiving a fuller understanding of this quiet conversation with God, as He speaks to me through His Word on what to minister to His people. I find myself in Psalm 126:6 (AMP) He who goes forth bearing seed and weeping (at needing his precious supply of grain for sowing) shall doubtless come again with rejoicing bringing his sheaves with him.” I had seed for I carry the Word God, but I needed grain (an avenue) to operate more effectively in the marketplace, which God called me to over two years ago. But there were some clarity of truths that God needed me to understand (receive, love, and obey) first. I found myself praying that God would open my eyes to wisdom. And faithful to His Word, He soon began to speak to me about Kingdom Economics. These were the truths from His Word to unlock financial flow, freedom, and freshness in my life. Truth #1 Submission, which also means offering, is a sacrifice. Sacrifice is a form of worship unto God and as such you should purpose to be pleasing and wholly acceptable unto God, so that it is received. Truth #2 – Stewardship has to be mastered in order to walk in the wealthy place. A greater demand for stewardship and accountability is required. This requires seeking God‟s counsel for every financial seed He places in your hands. Until now, I was failing my tests through lack of understanding for God could not fully trust me with a little, which meant I was not ready for the much. Truth #3 - Stock Market education as I purpose to become a Kingdom investor. I have come to know that His treasures are not like those of the world system. So I had to familiarize myself with where His treasure is located, in earthen vessels, which are the people and that the resources I have are to minister to the needs of His people. This requires financial resources, so He instructed on where to place financial seeds in the marketplace.

12 An Offering of Submission I heard the Spirit of the Lord say pray that my people understand the difference between the tithe and the offering. We mistakenly believe that the tithe reaps a harvest directly and specifically for our financial benefit, but the Lord explained that this is not true. The tithe is His, a holy thing, and carries the blessing when released and a curse when withheld, so we should always choose wisely how we purpose to handle it. But the blessing of financial increase is inherent in the financial offerings that we sacrifice to God from the portion that He gives to us for our use. It has the ability to liberate increase and financial flow into our lives. And YES, this too is holy. The Lord explained how oftentimes we unknowingly, touch the holy thing, which includes the offering, because we have not received an understanding of the Book of the Law. Insomuch as, we have lost the reverence of bringing an offering as in the Old Testament for we understand not its relevance today, after the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. But the relevance is even greater today for us who follow after the risen Savior. He is the reason for the offering, for by and because of His sacrifice we are made righteous. Our offering is a submission of worship to the Lamb of God, who came down from glory, the perfect sacrifice, without blemish or spot, who fulfilled all of God‟s requirements under the Law. Through Leviticus, God speaks about His offerings - their purpose and timing. Ultimately, all are for remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus, The Christ, on the cross for our sins.
TRUTH #2 – Stewardship
An Observation Stewardship
of
TRUTH #1 – Submission 1. Burnt offerings whole/without blemish for atonement 2. Cereal offering is for preservation and protection 3. Firstfruit offering is blessing for the lump given from the first of your increase…New Year/New Contracts/ New Job/First Payroll Check 4. Peace offering is for divine healing, thanksgiving, vows, and freewill it is worship sweet and satisfying to the Lord bring an offering to Lamb for by His blood and His stripes we are healed. 5. Sin offering is for revelation of deliverance for the salvation that is received only through Jesus, He who was without sin became sin. It is manifested deliverance in your life and you are grateful for total release from a particular sin. When you understand and know you have been plucked out sin, death, and restored unto righteousness by the blood of the Lamb 6. Guilt offering when you become aware of deliverance from iniquity and transgression, sinning unknowingly with holy things of the Lord you shall also bring Him restitution (20%) 7. Consecration offering when you receive the call of God on your life and your are anointed, appointed, or promoted by God As ministered by the Holy Spirit 11/21/09
The Lord spoke very quickly to me about checks and balances, in particular in this time of convenience with “helpful” tools like the Visa bankcards. Ultimately, this useful tool has taught us to become careless and wasteful with our resources for with a swipe we deplete our natural resources, and thereby, our promised spiritual inheritance of divine As ministered by the Holy Spirit as I was walking away from a soda machine which kept overflow as well. In the midst of spending spree frenzies, we no longer $.50 of my money…thinking it‟s just $.50 keep track of the resources God has entrusted to us through reconciliations. Nor do we feel the immediate effects of poor decisions concerning our spending habits. For too long, we have operated with no understanding that money is a defense (Ecc. 7:12). God orchestrated it as protection for His people during times of recession when He brings correction and judgment to the ungodly, but so many of His children are feeling the effects of years of poor financial decisions. As a result, many live just two paychecks away from financial ruin and desolation. But after this cycle of judgment and correction, purpose that the curse is broken in the area of our finances as we individually and collectively seek God‟s wisdom on becoming TRUTH #2 – Stewardship kingdom stewards. Know that God is calling you and I to greater accountability with His resources in the marketplace. He requires G – Get understanding of financial wisdom our faithfulness in the little because He is ready to bless us with O – Operate by a budget much. But first, we must separate and maintain separate D – Discern the purpose of the seed “It is never about the dollar you spend, but rather, the harvest you are forgoing associated with the dollar you spend.”

13 systems for business and our personal lives. Secondly, look at the money we are spending whether in business or privately and account for it. Seek God‟s wisdom on what He would have done before the seed is received into our hands. Thirdly, pray God provides discernment between seed and harvest, so that the seed is not consumed with the measure and provision, which could cause us to forgo our harvest. Finally, understand it is never about the dollar we spend but the harvest we relinquished. An Occupation of the Stock Market Truth #3 Stock Market – (Investments) Purpose to become a Kingdom investor. We each have been given talents with a simple command from the Lord: occupy, buy and sell, until I come (Luke 19:13): engage, take up, absorb, concern yourself with my business. Like the children of Israel, we have been granted permission and given a command to conduct business in Egypt (world), with commands to take our store of goods to far countries thereby spreading this gospel of the Kingdom of God. Our only limitation is the lack of Godly wisdom and understanding, but this can be overcome by seeking God‟s counsel on how to conduct His business. In spending private time with God, He is faithful to express Himself concerning every business venture that comes our way. As a result, you more effectively prepare yourself to do those things which are then required in the natural by investing in resources God has ordained is of value. For instance, Ecc. 11 instructs us to cast our bread (financial provision) upon many waters you will find it after many days. That means diversify financial portfolio, so that a continual flow of harvest is maintained. Seek long term investments, which tend to do better over the long period and provide a stable return. In the Kingdom be ready to frequently invest as God prospers you and you purpose for you know not which seed shall prosper. Investments in land, cattle, and gold are best for the long-term viability of financial portfolios, while maintaining a few liquid assets for easy conversion into cash: stocks/bonds is still a wise decision providing a stable mix for your investments that will offer steady and consistent growth when God touches and blesses your finances. Understand this, the value of the dollar is constantly TRUTH #3 – Market Investments changing because it is actually a debt instrument that has been made legal tender for the ease of Land Cattle transactional use within the United States, but Market Occupation Gold & Precious Gems ultimately gold is the underlying standard upon which it is based. Begin to ask God to reveal to you His seasons and ask the Holy Occupation through Godly Consultation Occupation through Collaboration Spirit to guide you to wisdom as you begin to engage in world, political, and Occupation through Education business news. It is officially timeout for being continually entertained when returning home from work, but rather this is opportunity to begin to learn the marketplace which God has called us to occupy and operate in more fully in this season. We must educate ourselves lest we perish from lack of knowledge. God has begun to give land over to us. We must begin to take possession that we would succeed and occupy the land, Deuteronomy 2:31. You may be saying, I only make this or have this how can I buy livestock, land, and gold… gold bars and coins not necessarily jewelry unless it is estate type stones and precious gems. Learn to pool your resources and thereby your purchasing power by creating investment vehicles and centers to purchase various types of commodities and territories. This has been said for years, but this is a truth from the Word of God. All brought their goods and none lacked who lived among them for those that gathered much had nothing left over and those that gathered little did not lack. A true collaboration and coming together for Kingdom is needed to continually advance for a Kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. Finally, abide in the established order and government that God has ordained. Render unto Caesar, government, what is due Caesar and do not attempt to circumvent or avoid payment of taxes and revenues. These are the basis of Kingdom Economics that will walk you into promotion from God and sustain you in the marketplace as you begin to move higher into your Kingdom destiny. In all your getting, get understanding, seeking to understand God‟s Law and wisdom, so that you are firmly established and will land in good success. Sometimes in life we go through things. Most believers are not very fond of the word controversy - we tend to think that quoting the scriptures and exercising our faith is a free pass that will prevent any type of distasteful situations from happening to us. But the road to destiny and the path to purpose is filled with controversy that is designed to shape and prepare us.
Webster defines controversy as, "a dispute, especially a public one, between sides holding opposing views; disagreement, quarrel, and argument." The dictionary also defines public as being "open to the knowledge or judgments of all, and group of people sharing a common interest." Being a believer does not mean that your life will be a controversy free one. As a matter of fact, when you take a step into the direction of your destiny, and when you get on the path of purpose, be prepared for disputes. Be prepared for people to challenge you to quarrels and arguments, and be prepared for your decisions, your projects, and your works to be reviewed with a fine tooth comb and judged. When your gift becomes exposed and available to the knowledge of all, it will also be exposed to the judgment of all. There will be individuals that will discriminate and form opinions about you, your gift, and even your God. When this happens, you must recognize in advance that it is the objective of the enemy to kill your dream, steal your desire, and ultimately destroy the lives of the people that God has designed for you to impact. How you handle yourself during times of quarrel and conflict is always an opportunity to demonstrate strength, confidence, humility, and boldness. And how you respond to opposition is always an opportunity to demonstrate spiritual growth and maturity as well.

16 When we examine the Bible, we see that controversy was not uncommon as a matter of fact, it was times of controversy that we also see demonstrations of the spiritual strength and maturity of the saints. The Bible says in Ezekiel 44:23-25, " And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my judgments." We are instructed to take a stance as a judge or an arbitrator during controversy that comes into your life. So the question is, how do you overcome controversy, and the key lies within Isaiah 54:17. 17But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord." Know that it is your responsibility and God given right to SHOW judgments against you to be wrong. It is your heritage and it is a part of the righteousness of God that has been given to you. The Bible says that showing judgments about you to be in the wrong is peace, righteousness, security, and triumph! Be prepared to defend and uphold your character through your actions, .

words, and deeds. It's important to know the difference between an assault of your message versus an attack on you. It is God's responsibility to confirm His Word and the message He gives you with signs following, but it is your responsibility to defend yourself against blatant character assaults. Don't be bashful and afraid to show yourself to be who you say you are. And don't ever be afraid to open your mouth and prove others to be a liar. Too often, as peace seeking Christian women, we take turning the other cheek to the max. We allow others to say anything to us, about us, and even about our faith. Have you ever been in a place where someone has tried to argue or debate with you, and they end up attacking your character, but out of maturity you may not say anything? Yet, when they turn and walk away feeling satisfied that they conquered yet another Jesus freak, you notice that they took a little smidgen of your peace with them. You let them fish for an invisible splinter in your contact lenses and now your eye is punctured. Yet, you let them walk away and in the "name of Christ," you chose not to help chip away at the huge 2x4 that was sticking out of their head? Sometimes we allow weapons to prosper because we just assume a passive approach, when in all actuality, the Father may be pushing you to take hold of your heritage and show someone to be in the wrong. I'm not saying be argumentative - I am saying be led by the Spirit of God at ALL times. Don't be afraid to speak
sharply or respond in an unusual way. Don't be afraid to fight for the inner strength and satisfaction that God gives you. Take hold of your peace it's your heritage. Killing the weapons that form is giving the enemy something to drink and feeding them with a smile, although they have talked about how you don't care for anyone but yourself. It is praying for the very people who have made fun of and talked about your Christian commitment. It is walking uprightly, holding your course, and allowing God to openly display how he has changed you while you know that others around you still associate you with your past. It is still inviting the very same people to church with you who have belittled your commitment. Know that the one in you is greater than the one in the world, and understand that Satan will never attack what's not a threat to him. The gift in you is more valuable and important than you think because it exists for a benefit and purpose outside of you. So, if Satan can steal your dreams, discredit your character, and kill your desire, he has successfully succeeded in destroying every Rhema Roadblock that you were meant to present to others around you. Overcome evil with good, and overcome controversy with goodness. Although conflict and judgment may be uncomfortable, they are opportunities to show God that you are ready for the next level, and want to be trusted with more

In the beginning, full of life, energy, ideas, raring to go and ready to take on the world. … Calling down fire, you are a walking manifestation waiting to happen… Laughing at the enemy because you just walked on his head and took back what he stole…‟For if I be a man of God‟, or „you call on your god and I will call on my God. We will see who answers‟ … After minor trial that set you back because you found an area that you needed to grow…Facing challenges because God is stretching and preparing you for transition to an elevated place, but first foolishness, lust, and carnality have to be purged from you… In the midst of the press and fire of the furnace, when everything is crazy… Your strength is lagging…. „For Jezebel has destroyed all and there is only me left, and I have been jealous for You.‟ You ask, “Is this how it ends?” Lord did I hear you correctly? Did I miss you completely? Are you still here? Can you hear me? Don‟t you see me? Do you even care?.... Just crying in midnight, feeling unloved, overly abused, totally misunderstood, and utterly alone… Hiding out and on the run a fugitive in a desolate land… In the midst of chaos, you go to the mouth of the cave and see His glory but He is not there. You learn to be still trying to find yourself in Him… In stillness you hear the still quiet voice speak…

19 These two biological sisters, Temera Royston and LaToy Anderson, have known each other all their lives. Their ups and downs, gifts and flaws, past and present, but in 2001, with the birth of 5AM Praise, their future was revealed to them both. Both received Christ early on in their teen years, but sometimes life pulls and tugs at us all, leading us to places we were never intended to go. But, after trying it their way, receiving bumps and bruises, they released all to God and allowed Him to take the fragments of their shattered past and the pieces of their broken present and mend them together for the glory of the Father. When WOW sat down to talk with the members of 5AM Praise, we were overwhelmed by the sincerity of heart and passion for the ministry that God has entrusted to them in this hour. With honesty, poise, and earnestness, each member of 5AM Praise gave a revelation and insight into their personal walk with God. Their debut album, Praise the Lord Saints, released in 2004, speaks to every Christian‟s need to find the praise within in order to overcome the journey upward to rightful position in God. It admonishes us to not take lightly these weapons of our warfare, which are indeed mighty through God. In our praise of God, each Christian finds strength to stand in the midst of the fight that would take a lesser person down and under. Just as the children of old, we too are called to go out with praise before Lord that He would show forth His strength on our behalf. Our praise demonstrates our trust in Almighty God that He will indeed turn our “dire” situation around for our good. Such was the case for the members of 5AM Praise whose praise and belief in the Lord helped them to overcome the wounds of their past and the trials of their present. Their praise soon qualified them for promotion as victory after victory came their way. They soon headed back to the studio in 2006 and opened their mouth to Testify about the goodness of the Lord, which became the title of their second album release. Their lyrics proclaim God‟s deliverance in their own life. We, as believers in Christ, are encouraged to open our mouth and bear witness, to speak and share the word of our testimony with boldness to a dark and dying world. Their latest release, The Beginning, foretells of where God is taking them as He transitions them to a greater platform. Their primary objective is to issue forth vocal piercings to usher us into the very presence of God. They have reached the point of saying Whatever God, which is a title of their initial release track from this CD. And they are most ready to run with the Good News entrusted to them to publish and proclaim. God has indeed thrust them out into His harvest. Temera‟s only comment to sum up the next chapter is simple, “Right now, we are just following Whatever God‟s steps are for us. We trust the One that is driving [us]… where He is taking [us] and leading [us]. We have a heart for God. He has developed us in our ministry, but more importantly, our walk with Him. It is amazing what God will do when you are obedient, when you walk with Him hand in hand.” Their music heralds their walk with Christ, which is a journey common to every Christian: a journey of obedience, destiny, and purpose. Obedience has brought them to the place where the world is now seeing the fullness of the testimony of these two sisters. Their search for fulfillment led them each to and through different valleys, where they ultimately found and developed a true and personal relationship with God. “In the Issue I |2010 (c) All Rights Reserved www.worshipwithwrittenword.com

20 valley, God gave me vision for my life”, says Toy. And now, today, following many tests, their testimony resounds with their reverence and total reliance of what God has planned next for their lives and the ministry of 5AM Praise as they seek Him for each step and every area of their lives. “It‟s life, but you still have to hold on to God.” Throughout it all they have held onto God and His Word. The Scriptures that kept them through the test: Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (KJV)

1 Corinthians 10:13 – There hath no temptation taken you but 1. Develop a relationship with God such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you 2. Abide in the Word of God to 3. Take bold steps – there are be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also things that we are required to make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (KJV) 4.
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be 5. more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a (NLT) way out so that you can endure 6.
Matthew 11:30 – Yoke is easy and My burden is light. John 9:4 – I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (KJV) We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us.[a] The night is coming, and then no one can work. (NLT)

They yearn for their message to touch the youth and young adults. They recall all so clearly how the devil was constantly on them when they were young, which, at the time, ultimately left them asking the question: „Are we the only ones going through this?‟ Constant and continuous battles that left them looking and s eeking for the light. But these were the test that came early for them, which prepared them for where they are today. God prepared their heart then, for the very ministry He had planned for them NOW. He has turned their heart towards the young adults to encourage them in their walk with and towards Christ. Their message to the youth is quite simple: “Don‟t be discouraged by others. Praise God with what you have and your way. Don‟t‟ compare your praise and worship with someone else‟s. Give him your heart. Praise him the way you are and God will accept your praise. Communicate with God your way. It‟s about an individual relationship with God because He wants to hear from us individually and our own relationship with Him. Don‟t be fearful to praise God your way and with what you have..still offer up. Just say okay God here goes.” In 2010, we expect to hear more from these two women of God as they continue to reach the youth through music, tours, workshops, websites, and media pages.

"Timing...His, Not Yours" As I reflect back on the close of another day I can't help but remember the women i used to be. Considering all, the good, the bad, and indifferent, I realize how long my journey has been and how far I've come. The journey was one of self acceptance. It is one that I persist on as I come to know whose I am. Most of this learning experience is dealing with the topic of beauty and it's meaning as God sees it. I recall being a teen at a size 8 or 10 and feeling physically inadequate. I had long flowing hair, a prize winning smile and an hourglass shape. Yet I still felt less than pretty and even fat. Today at a size 20 I know without a doubt in my mind that I am beautiful. I am a gorgeous and intelligent wife, mother and entrepreneur. I have a love for Christ that abounds deep in my soul. What is the difference between the me that I am now and the me of my teen years? Is a full figure more beautiful to me? Do I consider a Plus Size woman to be stronger and more commanding? No, on both accounts. The difference is the lens through which I see myself. The teen of years gone by had no substance or understanding as it relates to inner beauty. I mean what good is it to be a millionaire if you have no clue where your riches are stored? In the Over the past 14 years God has shown me what traits it is that I possess that make me beautiful. The earnest desire that I have to serve God and His people allows me to focus on the beauty in others. It helps me to pull out of them the things that they don't see or even consider. When you take time to focus on others as opposed to yourself God will add clarity to a thing when you least expect it. He will give you Issue I |2010 (c) All Rights Reserved www.worshipwithwrittenword.com

23 understanding about what makes you beautiful in the midst of showing others the beauty they possess. Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that "all things are beautiful in His time". Is that because God wants us to be beautiful only when he says so? Much the way a full grown orchid does not at all resemble the seed it started as, you may not look like the finished product that God has in mind. Unlike the orchid, you get to decide by the choices you make how quickly or slowly you will blossom into the beauty that you are called to be. When you find yourself disgusted or unhappy about what you look like remember these words, "How dare I look unfavorably on someone that God beholds as BEAUTIFUL". That someone is you. Take charge of your growth and see the orchid that is inherent in the seed.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Deliverance is Mine! Psalms 34: 17 “The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their trouble” KJV
In
In speaking to an acquaintance on the other day, she began to pour out her heart to me, and was very frustrated that her dreams were not coming into the full fruition like she hoped. She had a hard time understanding why there seemed to be so many obstacles, accompanied by so much heartache and pain while trying to take hold of the promise that God had given to her. In pursuit of all that God promises, I believe God issues one command to us all and that is “Come” he invites you to step out of the boat and walk on water. Matt 14 God calls an ordinary person to engage in an act of extraordinary trust. Notice, in His decree, Jesus never says, there will not be strong winds, nor does He tell us that we will not experience failure; He doesn’t say that we will never have that sinking or drowning feeling; all He says is, “Come”. Consider King David a true water walker, who had a lot going for himself, he had much success; He was anointed by Samuel to be king of Israel, He was not only chosen by God but found favor with Israel, and was promoted from shepherd to warrior and musician. He was loved, admired, and respected. People even sang songs in admiration of him. David learned very quickly what it was like to have that sinking feeling. He walked with God and trusted God; He definitely seemed to have it going on, all of a sudden things turned around. All the fame, admiration, adulation, and applause soon turned to jealousy, envy, and hatred, which resulted in the lost of his newly appointed position. Have you ever been there? In a position of honor yet considered dis-honored? Respected, yet dis respected, known but not known, you ever fel like they know me, but don’t me? But for David it was more than just loosing a position or a job, David found himself in a place where he was fighting for his very life, maybe you like me have found yourself in a situation where

26 you have what appears to be everything fall apart at one time; The place where all hell breaks loose in your life; The place where you feel as if with every breadth, with every ounce of strength you are fighting for your life, your destiny, and your purpose. David a man after God’s own heart, a man anointed for purpose, promoted to a favored position was stripped of almost everything. , I say almost everything because, He lost his position, his friends, his home, his mentor, and his marriage. But there is one thing he did not lose and that was the call upon his life! - Romans tells us that the call and the gifts are irrevocable- ( He calls you) David found himself running for his life and fled to a cave. I know what it is like to be in a cave like situation, and literally fight for your very life. 18 months of unemployment, major car accident, a wayward child, facing foreclosure, son’s car reposed, no transportation, & illness. In less than six months , I was hospitalized twice for minor heart attacks, high blood pressure, herniated and ruptured disc in my back and neck, damaged nerves in my leg, back, and neck, a 3 week battle with the H1N1 virus (swine flu), upper respiratory infection, and mild pneumonia. On top of that, ridicule and negativity from church folk. Like David I was in position, I had a successful career as an Accountant, actively ministering at my local church, participating in community events, volunteering with various organizations, and excited about God’s promise of Full time ministry. Suddenly, my life took a sudden twist. Have you found yourself being taken from the castle to the cave? Or maybe you have found yourself like Joseph, you know that God has given you a dream, like David, you know that you’ve been anointed for purpose, like Abraham; God promises you a son yet turns right around and ask you to sacrifice that son. In spite of your dreams, in spite of the promises, in spite of your anointing, you find yourself in a cave like situation. Although some may have ended up in the cave because of poor choices and decisions, let me encourage you; the cave is a hard place but not necessarily a bad place, for it is in that cave; that God does a work in you to prepare you for what lies ahead. It is in the furnace of affliction that you become the true warrior that you were created to be. King David was empowered and highly trained for battle when God in His sovereignty placed him in the heat of battle. David learned the true art of war. There are different kinds of battles; two I’d like to mention here: The battle with others, and the battle within yourself. There is a war that rages within your spirit when you are attacked on every side. The battlefield of the mind; fear, self doubt, rejection, impatience, anger, and discouragement can easily become agents of paralysis. In order to secure victory, wrong attitudes must be crucified, it takes diligent renewing of the mind, a true change of perception. I once heard someone say, “ not eye view, but high view”. This simply means; to take your eyes off the situation; and focus on the solution. Remember when Peter got out of the boat, as he walked on water, the scriptures say he noticed the wind, and began to sink. I’m not implying that there will not be times, when you will not feel as if you are drowning, I am not implying that there will not be times when it appears that the waters themselves will overtake you, nor am I implying that you should not admit your pain.( ignore the negative commentators and the negative spectators and run to the one who has compassion for your soul ( Jesus) For we do not have a high priest that cannot sympathize with us in our weakness. There is great deliverance in admission, however, even in that, your focus must be on God. When you keep your focus, you can like David strengthen yourself in the Lord. In Psalms 31:12-15 David says this, “I am like a broken vessel, for I hear the slander of many; fear is on every side; While they take counsel together against me, they scheme to take my life, But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, You are my God, My times are in your hands.” Understand that your times are in God’s hands. He knows your beginning and sees your ending. God in His Omniscience knows your heart and that your heart is for Him. God says, I will perfect everything that concerth you! He began a good work will bring it unto the day of completion. David wanted to build a house for God, but in the turn of events, God said no, I am going to build a house for you! Listen David, I know you want to do great things for me, says the Lord, I know you want to preach my word, I know you want the ministry inside of you to burst forth, I know you want business & ministry success, I know you Issue I |2010 (c) All Rights Reserved www.worshipwithwrittenword.com

27 want to give me glory, I know that you are chosen! I know you are my anointed! I know you want to do great things for me, but listen; I want to build you a house! I am going to make you a house! God wants to create a dynasty for you! That is why it hasn’t happened the way you wanted it to, that is why you’ve been through so much hell, that is why all those you thought would be with you, left you alone, God’s says, I know what you want to do for me, but I want to do something for you! I know the plans that I have for you! That’s why no one else could help you, I am your deliverer! I am your way maker! I am your keeper! I am your provider! I am your defender! I am your joy! I am your peace! I AM! Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but I, the Lord will deliver them from the all! David knew without a shadow of doubt, that it was nobody, but the Lord who delivered Him from the mirey clay and sat his feet upon a rock to stay! He was lead to raise his voice in praise of the sovereign God and declare, “Blessed be the Lord my Rock and my firm strength, who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight my fortress my High Tower and my deliver, my shield in whom trust and take refuge.” Psalm 144:1-2 amp David surely had his share of afflictions yet he held on to one immutable truth; God is a deliverer! You and I may have certainly gone from the castle to the cave, but you can be sure that we are on my way to the palace! In between the prophecy and the promise there is the process. The P-R-O-C-E-S-S. Did you notice the spaces between the letters? The process is equivalent to basic training for the army, it is where you become armed and dangerous, it is where experience supersedes knowledge, it is where what is in you comes out, your heart is tested, your faith grows stronger, and you learn to truly walk on and through water. “ For you O God have tested us; you have refined us as silver is refined; You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs, You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, but you brought us out to rich fulfillment” Psalms 66:10-12 NKJV- The NLT says, “You brought us out to great abundance!” Hold fast to your faith, God is preparing you for great abundance! Like David we can walk on water and declare; “Now I know the Lord saves His anointed! A three week battle with the Swine flu, now I know the Lord saves His anointed! Hospitalized with an abnormal EKG, given medication that could possibly cause me to have a heart attack or stroke, yet, my entire test came back negative! Now, I know the Lord saves His anointed! Sitting in a parked car with a cement truck coming 70mph slamming into the back of me, yet, I walk away from the accident, now I know the Lord saves His anointed! Laid off from work, my income cut by 65% a single parent with two children, now I know the Lord saves His anointed! Misdiagnosed by doctors and given the wrong treatment, Now, I know the Lord saves His anointed! In an abusive situation choked with a gun put to my head, yet, I walked away, now I know the Lord saves his anointed! In a wheel chair and having to learn to walk all over again, yet today I walk, now I know the Lord saves His anointed! Blessed be the Lord my rock and my Tower and my Deliverer!” While in the cave, sometimes, it seems as if you are going to lose your mind, but like David, strengthen yourself in the Lord, and declare, Now I know the Lord saves His anointed! He makes my feet like hinds feet, and even on the highest of mountains my feet shall not slip!

MUSIC & ARTS REVIEW TheTruth@Justice.com
By Craig Anthony Nicholas
The UnVeiling A minimalist use of music. At first the listener might look at the consistent use of music as redundant considering the appetite that searches to be satisfied by an array of varied forms. The context to better appreciate this production is the power of focusing to a point. As a magnifying glass is able to create a fire on paper even as a hot day does not otherwise cause it to burn, the fire also cannot happen if the beam is not focused to a point. So to in life and here, we can do more than what we can otherwise do. The listener is led to tune in to the ultimate purpose of this artform. Erica Kemper does well to employ an efficient music minimalism with a welcomed humility that ushers the listener more to a kingdom consciousness. My Preference Rankings: Starting w/Favorites Track 4. A voice of pronounced poise. By employing a sentence structure resembling the King James Version, this style compliments both the message and the style of her calm, confident, composure. The quality of her voice is as much a reassuring contrast to more embellished productions. Together the sound supports the message of humble praise. Delivered in the strong, active voice, this production seeks to candidly unveil a more sacred fellowship with the Divine. A word of reconciliation/exaltation The resounding theme of exalting the Most High to transcend all empowers us to connect to our purpose. The UnVeiling accomplishes an elevation of human spirit and invocation of imagery. With the “marvelous new militancy” that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke as in Track 21 (Agreement) that dispels the cliché: “agree to disagree” this work challenges us to heighten our consciousness to the consequences of unreconciled discord. Track 15 (To The One) examines the curse of misappropriation of priority for the gift of life and devotion in relationships. The signature Track 11 (The UnVeiling) uncovers our prevailing identity in the truth of His Word. Throughout the album, Erica Kemper presents how our enduring fulfillment is a question of where we place our faith. Erica Kemper’s debut album is ambitious in its pursuits to yield to what makes our spirits soar. Ultimately, The UnVeiling offers us a call to kingdom mindset and a personal relationship with the Divine for a peace most profound. This release will empower you to find an unquenchable fire unveiled within yourself that will shine unto glory.

THE DREAM
Some place cold I ride a nearby train in search of a better coat to purchase. The train travelled through a large mall type building. I could not see into the various storefronts, but had a sense that the place I was in was a very high-end, very “posh” environment. Returning back to my “office”, I am looking over some things while on the train. I missed my stop while in the process of gathering my belongings, despite the fact that the conductor saw me gathering my things to exit. His only comment, “That will teach you to be ready.” And so he dropped me off at a stop that was not my original destination. It is night and the already gloomy area appeared even darker with no sunlight shining through it and so I could not see. But I knew the direction that I was to head in, so I began walking the opposite way so that I could make it for a meeting. So very dark and difficult to see. Suddenly, in the distance, these people in neon white shirts began to appear in the distance. The effect much like that which occurs when a black light is introduced into a dark room, it changes the appearance of a lightly colored shirt causing the shirt to seem “super” white. Their appearance provided just enough light, so that I could see where to turn next and I did not stumble upon my way. Light after light guided me safely on my return journey to my missed destination. Go to this corner, turn here, crouch, walk….soon, I reached someone at a corner which reminded me of my twin brother, so I knew in the dream that it was safe to speak with him. He confirmed I was heading in the right direction as he pointed me to go a little further the way I was headed. I made it to the building, having to walk through a series of doors to get to the other side. At the entrance to my destination, I am greeted by a meeting in the process of taking place that I was supposed to be a part of apparently because those around were expecting me, greeting me by name. Evidently, I had a participation in the presentation for in the next room camera lights awaited my entrance.
Spiritual Redirection
For those that have been in spiritual wilderness, know you are not alone. Yes, this wilderness has indeed been cold and desolate, but it was for proving and promotion. A new coat, mantle, has been given for the next stage of the journey. One that was provided from the King‟s Treasury. Though it may have looked as though your original destination was missed, take heart for you have been on a course for spiritual redirection. Things may still “appear” bleak and dark, but be strong because appearances are truly deceiving. You have made a supernatural turnaround in the middle of your circumstances. Expect and anticipate the movement of ministering angels on your behalf. There will be light after light, word after word, blessing after blessing, confirming that you truly are headed in the right direction. Rest in the assurance of the Lord that you will arrive at the desired place on time and fully prepared for what God has called you to do in this hour. With promotion comes new platform, greater responsibility, and increased visibility remain humble and fully connected with the Father, who is the true Source of your strength, courage, wisdom, and power.
