Honor Your Spirit at a Winter Retreat
The Center at Mariandale, in Ossining, a sponsored ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, invites individuals to treat themselves this winter to one of the many upcoming retreats for quiet, spiritual nourishment and wisdom.
A virtual retreat, The Self and the Social Fabric: Writing Stories to Heal a Divided Age ($150) will be held from February 24 through 26. Memoirists, citizen journalists, family historians and group storytellers will learn techniques to tell compelling narratives of collective experiences.

Sanctuary, an LGBTQ Spirituality Weekend Retreat, will be held from February 24 through 26 for people from all faith backgrounds to join together in spiritual community for a weekend of individual and grouped reflection and conversation, plus downtime for personal rest and recreation in the peacefulness of the retreat center, surrounded by 61 acres of nature along the Hudson River ($150).

Let Me Call You Sweetheart
The Life Energy Arts Gallery will celebrate heart health month with Let Me Call You Sweetheart: Love Songs at the Gallery, from 3 to 5 p.m., February 11, featuring a new exhibit and live Valentine’s Day music with international pianist, vocalist, educator and musicologist Peter Muir, Ph.D.
Director Karla Booth says, “This event will be a lighthearted piano-vocal exploration of American popular music, as Muir engages his audience with works by Fats Waller, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and others.” Muir will be joined by international vocalist Susan Diamond.
The gallery, open by appointment and for special events, is dedicated to the healing art of Dr. John Diamond.
