VOL.9 WJ:S'T VIRGIMU G.A.MJ: One of the best aggregations of ball players that e\·er invaded Alumni field appeared here last Tuesday when the Unh•ersity of WeSt Virginia defeated Tech 2-0. They hnd been on the road three weeks, and b:lve not lost one of their ele,·en games. They have gath· ered victories oYer such eltcellent teams as Dartmouth. Syracuse, Colgnte, and W~st Point. When we cor1sider the score mad~ ngrunst Tech, or rather the scor~ Tech beld them to-for they have some powerful batters-we feel that Tech rs coming along fasr and should register some more wins before the sea· son die&. \V V managed to get three hits off Bagley, who pitched a fine game of boll. Coach C•rroll is highly satisfied with his work and will undoubtedly groom him into a strong pitcher. Piispanen got two of Tech's three bits, one of which was a two-ba.ru,>t>r. while Campbell got the other This lack of bming an ~tber !ride shows two things. good fielding. Or stri.lce-ouu.
